About the home

This large 4 Star/Epis farmhouse which has been restored sympathetically retaining the original character with exposed stone walls and a wealth of exposed timbers. Tiled floors throughout, underfloor heating and air conditioning. Double glazed. The farmhouse is independent from the main house and has its own private pool, with child safety alarm fitted. Set in the heart of twelve acres of rolling countryside.

All rooms are on one level with bathroom facilities to suit the elderly or disabled. Level access to the patio and swimming pool area's. Four bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 three bedded). One bathroom has shower, vanity sink unit and toilet , The other bathroom has level access shower, bath, vanity unit with toilet in seperate adjacent room . Large open lounge / dining room with fireplace and french doors opening onto a south facing patio and swimming pool area.

Beautiful swimming pool with fountain, child safety alarm and steps into the pool for easy access. Summer/pool house with garden furniture and loungers, toilet and shaded area. Views to the open countryside and woods.

Patio furniture. Games room with table tennis, pool table, football game, board games etc., Bar and seating area. BBQ.

Deposit will be 1/3rd at time of booking with the balance payable not later than 6 weeks before tenancy begins. Please make cheque payable to Mrs S Platt.

Change over day is Saturday, Arrival time from 4.00pm until 10.00am on final day. Prices are per property, per week and include gas and electricity costs. Holiday cancellation insurance is recommended. Number of guest must not exceed quoted capacity, unless specifically arranged with the owners. All linen and towels provided except pool towels. We also provide Shampoo, shower gels and soap.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region

The Lot & Garonne our area is just south of the Dordogne and to the west of the Lot region. Therefore we are ideally situated for the exploration of all these river valleys, which are rich in history, with the most sensational scenery. Acres of fruit trees and vines.

From early Summer until Autumn a succession of country antique markets are held throughout the area, plus many colourful local markets.

The Monflanquin / Boudy de Beauregard area

Day visits to Monflanquin a mediaeval hilltop Bastide village classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, you can understand why when one see's the vaulted archways surrounding the central square, in
August a mediaeval festival is held, with Knights in shining armour. Cahors, Bergerac, Issigeac, Monpazier, Domme, Les Eysies and St Emilion are all possible. Tennis, cycling, horse riding, golf, canoeing, boat trips, wine tasting and fishing. A pamphlet with full details of excusions, facilities, walks etc will be found in your accommodation.

“Looking for the perfect French Gité.....it's right here!!!” Stayed here last September ('10) - wonderful accommodation, amazing owners. It could not have been more perfect. Stayed 3 weeks for family wedding nearby. Superb pool, grounds and amenities. Kindness of the owners was remarkable. You must go!!

This will be our third year at Frayssinet Farmhouse, we love everything about the house and the area.
Far better than we could have expected, we flew in from Canada and didn't want to go home again.
A very relaxing destination. The gite offers everything in beautiful surroundings and the pool is fantastic.
Friendly helpful owners only add to this delightful property in the heart of the pictuesque French countryside.
Fantastic holiday destination, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Frayssinet. We will return.
