Located in a tiny valley along the Lede River, this is the magnificent and luxurious Chateau de Trieux. Built in three stages between 1571 and 1645, the authentic features have been lovingly preserved over the years. The area offers tranquillity, charming vistas, and a very pleasant climate.
The Chateau de Trieux itself sits in a beautiful three hectare park with a mixture of manicured, natural, and forested surroundings - perfect for strolling and relaxing. The Chateau de Trieux consists of 6 luxurious double bedrooms, 3 of which have their own en-suite bathrooms, and a private swimming pool.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
The countryside is dramatic with numerous quaint towns & villages dotted throughout the region as well as countless chateaux, caves, view points & museums. Take in the markets that overflow with local produce such as foie gras, truffles, walnuts, duck & goose.
Sarlat should be explored via the cool and shady lanes & courtyards to the rear of the cathedral. The central square hosts a fantastic Saturday market for flowers, goie gras, truffles & other local produce. The prehistoric painted caves of Les Eyzies and Lascaux are very popular as a day trip. Canoeing in the Dordogne river is possible and is well suited to beginners who just want to cruise downstream for half a day soaking up the atmosphere.
Monflanquin area
The chateau is located on the circuit des Bastides et Chateaux. Wine tasting and many other activities can be arranged with the guardians who live nearby. The property is also within easy access of golf, tennis and a full spa and gym. Horse riding is also possible locally.
Monflanquin is situated only five km away for shopping and supermarkets. The major towns of Bergerac, Cahors, St. Emilion, and Bordeaux are all within a shortish drive.

Nearest airport: Bergerac (30km), Bordeaux (70km), Toulouse (70km). Nearest town: Monflanquin - Villeneuve Sur Lot (5km).

Further details indoors: The Château de Trieux is maintained to the highest exacting standards and comprises of six double or twin bedrooms & 6 bath or shower rooms. There are two king size bedrooms with gorgeous bedding (one of these master bedrooms has an adjoining single), a double Queen size bedroom with Pomerania Down bedding, a full double bedroom with a feather bed and Ralph Lauren bedding & 2 additional twin bedrooms.
The library consists of fine comfortable furnishings, a giant limestone fireplace, the wine cellar and French doors that lead onto the pool patio.
The cinema room comes with the finest leather club furnishings, a chandelier, red velvet curtains, giant brick fireplace and French doors leading onto the pool patio.
In addition there is a games lounge in the converted chapel with pool table, card table, gothic chandelier and comfortable furnishings.
The grand dining room can seat 8-14 comfortably on it's magnificent table and is furnished with chandeliers and a giant authentic armour for crockery.
The kitchen is authentic and luxuriously renovated over two rooms with a fireplace. It has all the necessary amenities including: Nespresso & coffee machines, Godin professional chef cooker, food processor, two refrigerators, ice maker & laundry facility.
The office comes with an all-in-one fax machine/photo-copier/colour printer and 2 phone lines.
Further details outdoors: Outside is the private swimming pool, a terrace with barbeque, mountain bikes, and even a rowing boat. All electricity, water, linen, towels, telephone, and the daily maid service is inclusive in the rental price. A guided tour of a local vineyard, to sample some of the best Bordeaux wines in the area, is also included.

- Security deposit: £2000. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. - Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price. - Energy costs: Included in the rental price. Heating costs in the winter are extra. - End of stay cleaning: Included. Maid service (3 hours per day) and cleaning is included in the price. Extra cleaning is charged to the client if the property is not left clean and presentable as found on arrival. - Arrival time: 4pm onwards. - Departure time: 10am. - Pets: No pets allowed. - Smoking: No smoking in the property. - Swimming pool: The pool is open from end of May - October.
