The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Marbella and Puerto Banus beaches and the rest of the Costa del Sol are only 15 minutes from Monda. The climate is mainly dry and sunny throughout the year. The Seve Ballesteros designed golf course is just a twenty minute car journey and many more golf courses along the Costa del Sol are close by.
The cities of Malaga, (40mins) Seville (2hrs) and Granada (2hrs), with its ski resort, are all within easy reach. Gibraltar and the Tangiers ferries are only an hours' drive.
Monda area
Inland from the fabulous coast of the Costa del Sol, Monda is a typical white Andalusian village with its own working Olive and Almond mills. The area is steeped in history and Monda is overlooked by its Castle the original foundations of which are dated back to the Roman times, it is now a hotel and restaurant.
The traditional Spanish life is still evident with working donkeys and goat herds passing through the village. The local fiestas feature many live music shows with flamenco dancing, open air concerts and dance bands. Most of the year the village enjoys a slow pace of life making it a perfect place to unwind. There are various bars and restaurants serving the traditional tapas or a la carte meals without paying the tourist prices on the coast. Also a couple of discos and late night bars for the more energetic visitors.
The area has many other activities including the Marbella Gun and Country Club, Quad biking, Joe Daisy Art School, Horse riding, bird watching, mountain walks. The famous beach resort of Puerto Banus with its many beach bars, restaurants and shops is only a 20 minute drive from the villa
How to get there
Many airlines within Europe travel to Malaga. www.skyscanner.net is an excellent price comparison site for most of the airlines.
The journey from the airport takes approximately 45 minutes travelling in the direction of Cadiz/Algeciras as far as Marbella where you take the road for fifteen minutes that travels to Monda. We have full instructions that can be sent when a booking is made.
There are many car hire companies on line and also at the airport where arrangements can be easily made.

Wonderful views and a peaceful location yet only fifteen minutes drive to the resort beaches of the Costa del Sol and walking distance from the village. We are happy to pre-book activities such as golf, horse riding, quad biking etc and are available to give directions and recommendations.
