Stunning, detached lodge with breathtaking views set in two acres of olive, fig & almond trees, within the national park of the Sierra de las Nieves. The property which has that "wow" factor and is furnished to a very high standard.with its own lovely pool and lots of terraces all commanding magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and countryside.The propery has all the facilities you need for a wonderful family holiday or is perfect for that romantic getaway. The accommodation comprises of a huge lounge which has a vaulted beamed ceiling with large comfortable sofas to sink into, a magnificent open fireplace and large picture windows/doors looking out onto the mountains and leading onto one of the many terraces. The dining room leads The fully equipped kitchen overlooking the herb garden is superb with lots of utensils, fridge-freezer& dishwasher (washing machine is in the separate laundry room) .Just off the kitchen is a large dining room with picture windows and sliding doors leading to a large,cool,outside lounge with comfortable seating to savour your morning cup of coffee watching the spectacular sunrise coming up over the mountains or to enjoy that evening glass of wine.Adjoining this is one of the many terraces where you can barbeque and dine enjoying the spectacular views The extra large master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom , kingsize bed, double futon sofabed can be provided.The huge picture windows allowing you to wake up to the stunning views.The second bedroom has flexible accommodationstwo single beds or kingsize bed with the other bathroom immediately next to it. Both bathrooms are beautifully tiled throughout and equipped to a very high spec. Behind the property is a fabulous (11 x5 metre) private pool with amazing views, terraces,loungers, parasol and dining area. The pool also has the benefit of its own pool casita with shower toilet , kettle, small fridge etc. We are happy to provide in the casita a double or two single beds giving accommodation for extra guests . Set in the beautiful Andalucian countryside but less than a mile from the picturesque white pueblo village of Monda.The village has bakeries a butcher and small supermarkets for your everyday needs also several bars,restaurants and squares where the locals meet to chat and enjoy a cool drink. Monda castle with its own restaurant is only a few minutes away. The attractions of Marbella & Puerto Banus are only 15/20 minutes drive and favourite tourist spots such as Granada, with Ronda, Seville and Cordoba make wonderful day excursions.For Skiing in the winter the Sierra Nevada mountains are less than a couple of hours away everything you need for a perfect holiday.

Alternatively vistors have the opportunity to explore the stunning countryside and experience traditional Spanish customs in local towns and villages.
Monda area
The countryside around Monda is stunning yet you are only 15 mins away from the cosmopolitan restaurants,beaches,and nightlife of Marbella and Puerto Banus.Their shops and the award winning shopping centre of La Canada are a shopoholics dream and all less than 20 mins drive away. For bargain hunters Monda has its own Tuesday morning market or there are several larger markets within a short drive away. Monda is a typical Spanish Pueblo/village situated in a Nature Reserve. The facades of the houses are loaded with pots of colourful flowers hanging from the balconies.There are several tapas bars, restaurants and village squares which play host to lots of local festivities . The church square is surrounded by orange trees and dominated by its church since 1505. This is the centrepoint for activities in the town with its tapas bars and seating areas where people meet, life goes on as it has for centuries.Monda has a 200 year old oil mill in fact the olives from Olive Grove house are taken there.The farmers still bring their olives to the mill it is a fascinating place to visit with the mill run by a steam machine heated by burning wood from the old olive trees the huge granite stone pressing the olives as they must have for generations.Monda also has its own castle with its own restaurant and views of the mediterranean and the snow topped mountains of the Sierra mountains a popular ski resort only 2 hrs drive away. Close to home the countryside around Monda is spectacular it is hard to imagine that you are only 15 minutes away from Marbella, it is so peaceful and beautiful but wih so much to see and do on its doorstep you can enjoy the best of both worlds!
SIGHTSEEING :- MIJAS (20mins) –one of the most famous of the whitewashed pueblos of Andalucia, perched high on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. Renowned for donkey rides and horse drawn carriages through its narrow streets. MARBELLA (15mins) - centred around the attractive Old Town with its picturesque Orange Square, Marbella is the Costa del Sol's premiere resort for shopping and nightlife. PUERTO BANUS (20 mins) - famous for its designer shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, set around its exclusive marina. MALAGA (30mins) - hometown to Pablo Picasso and Antonio Banderas, Malaga is often overlooked by visitors to the Costa del Sol. It is a thriving Spanish port with a picturesque Old Town, vast cathedral, Moorish castle, impressive Picasso museum and excellent shopping. LAKE DISTRICT AND EL CHORRO GORGE (40mins) - the narrow gorge cut into the rock by the Guadalhorce river is at the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty with wooded ravines and unusual rock formations. Close by is an impressive network of lakes. Ideal day out for walkers, climbers and picnics. RONDA (1hr) - white pueblo perched high above a rocky gorge, with Roman and Moorish remains. The home of bullfighting, with an historic bullring and matador museum. ANTEQUERA (1hr) - market town since Roman times, renowned for its speciality products of olive oil, "polvorones" (almond sweets), and "molletes" (special bread rolls). Nearby are prehistoric dolmens and the flamingo breeding lake of Laguna Fuente de Piedra. A little further afield, but worth the journey for the adventurous are GIBRALTAR (2hrs), GRANADA (1h45mins), CORDOBA (2hrs) and SEVILLE (2h30mins). local towns and villages.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga - Olive Grove house is approx 40 mins from airport. Head west towards Marbella. Take E 15 (A7) toll rd to Cadiz & Algeciras (not Malaga - toll will be approx.5.35 euros). Turn off motorway at junction for Marbella/Ojen, head towards Ojen on A355. Staying on the A355 past Ojen, Monda is approx. another 11 km .Go through Monda follow ing signs for castle, do not turn off for castle .Just another few yards turn left for for Marbella Gun & Country club. You will find a selection of books, videos, DVDs and board games.There is a CD player but please bring your own CDs . For our visitors who neeed to keep in touch, Internet access is available (using your own laptop). Sky tv (5channels) is provided. Bathrooms are luxurious and tiled throughout with lots of towels provided. Bedrooms are relaxing, the main bedroom having stunning views of the mountains. Both bedrooms have ample storage and linen provided. Extra guests can be accommodated in the pool casita if required. (Please enquire) Cot & Highchair can be provided on request.

Please for obvious reasons only use ashtrays provided to dispose of cigarettes on terraces,.We are sure you will realise not to flick cigarette ends into the garden or in the beautiful countryside as in the summer months the landscape can be a tinderbox. The house it self, has all amenities and items needed to enjoy a holiday, with a large BBQ area to relax in front of the beautiful panoramic views of the mountains . We really enjoyed our stay at Olive Grove House. We were very comfortable and the house had everything that we could possibly need. The pool was very well used by the boys. The internet facility was really useful as we were able to keep in touch with the office, so we had nothing to worry about. And of course, the kids were able to keep in touch with their friends . We were so happy there and we found it very hard to leave. We would definitely like to come back sometime, possibly during the summer months.- Murray family
