The house is situated in the Citadel of Moncontour (Small city of character) dates back to the 11th century. There are historical walks within the town, ideal for families, superb local facilities include an indoor local public swimming pool,restaurants,supermarket in actual fact all your needs are only 2 minutes walk away yet you are still in the the tranquil beauty of a medieval town and some very stunning views from the rear. Depending on time of year Moncontour /surrounding towns hold music concerts in one of its main squares fun for all.Swimming pool 2 mins from house/football field/walk round the local river 2mins away/woodland at rear of town/Loudeac & many other watersporting centres nearby/drive.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Once you have explored the citadel itself you may wish to go further afield to the many other beautiful historical cities, with shopping, restaurants/markets and beaches. Brittany boasts some of the best beaches and stunning scenic rugged coastline. St. Malo and its walled town full of shops/history and fun. Mont St. Michel a sight to be seen let alone visit. Dinan and Dinard all these plus many more impossible to mention all are within easy reach of Moncontour.

A toilet & bathroom downstairs/Toilet & shower upstairs.Stunning views from rear of house not only of the town.An extra fold out bed is always available.
Further details outdoors: Large patio with BBQ leading to well kept country garden. Side access, ornamental fish pond and of course garden furniture, mobile washing line for your convenience. The sun rises at the rear of the house therefore breakfast in the garden is a must (depending on time of year of course) Local hall has many concerts at certain times of year.

This house in situated actually inside the citadel of Moncontour itself unlike many others advertising the towns name as a catch point. Main square a beautiful baroc church with stunning stained glass windows. There is a small museum in the square with all the detailed history of Moncontour and it is also the tourist office, very friendly and can let you know whats going on in and around town.The town consist of 2 banks (cashpoint machines),4 restaurants + pizzaria, post office, 2 bars,patisserie,boutique,bakers,chemist, 2 butchers, supermarket(open till 8pm),shoe shop (repairs,DVD rental) perfume shop,2 hairdressers, car hire, fishmongers, petrol station,2 cafe's (tobacconists) florist,opticians and estate agents.

£ 100 deposit payable on booking to secure dates, balance to be paid at least 6 weeks prior to occupancy (full amount to be paid if less than 6 weeks) £100.00 damages deposit fully refundable at end of stay
Beds will be made on day of arrival & changed on following Saturday by our service. Payment can be by cheque(if sufficient time for clearance) or by bank transfer.
