Home description

Casa Cristina is a spacious non-overlooked South facing, all En-suite Villa with Air Conditioning, Private Pool and Sea Views. Nestled in large grounds with pine and fruit trees, the villa commands an elevated position, affording complete privacy whilst offering panoramic countryside and sea views with wonderful romantic sunsets.

There is an excellent bar/restaurant conveniently 300 metres down the lane, and also close enough to walk to the unspoilt village of Moncaraphaco with all amenities.

This Villa rental is in a superb location within the beautiful tranquility of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve and a few minutes drive to Fuseta Beach and the Ria Formosa nature reserve, it is only 5 Km's from the motorway so you are only 20 minutes from Faro Airport.

Supreme Golf courses such as Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Benamor, Quinta da Ria/Cima and Castro Marim are all within 30 minutes of the Villa. In Moncarapacho there is a new Par 3 course and within 3km’s is a 3 hole, pitch & putt (9 tees) with driving range, chipping areas and putting green, all in fantastic condition.

The Algarve region

The Algarve is Portugal's southernmost province, bounded by the Atlantic ocean, this fertile land is warmed by the Gulf Stream with 3,000 hour of sunshine a year - ideal for their orange groves, vineyards, almond and olive orchards.

Our local Beach Island of Fuzeta (4Kms) is one of the best in the Algarve and a 'Must' day out. The beach Islands of Culattra, Armona and Farol can be reached via the new marina in Olhao (4Km’s). The Algarvian cuisine is delightful with plentiful supplies of fresh meat, sea food and year round availability of superb fruit and vegetables all washed down with fine local wine.


Moncarapacho / Lagoao area

For those not wishing to venture too far, there is an excellent Bar/Restaurant “Ponto de Amigos” within 300 metres of the Villa, try “Dish of the Day” for 6 Euros! It’s really handy during the day to get some ice creams or lollies.

Our small market town of Moncarapacho has a beautiful square where you can enjoy a meal and a drink or two with the locals, it's Bars and Restaurants serve excellent and reasonably priced food (Much more value for money than to the west of Faro).

Here you will also find banks, post office, internet cafe, chemist, doctors, 3-4 Mini Markets, fresh fish, meat, fruit & Veg’ market and a large supermarket that is open everyday from 08:30 until 20:00.

The Ria Formosa Nature Park is a gateway to discovering the marvellous world of fauna and flora that lives in this part of the Algarve coast, a bird watchers paradise which is only ten minutes away.

We have a number of excellent markets nearby (a detailed list will be in the villa) where you can pick up some real bargains. On the first Sunday of the month, it is in our local village of Moncarapacho, just a short walk away.
Ayamonte, 35mins (the Spanish border) town has a similar market every Saturday.

Tourist resort towns with entertainment, bars, restaurants and casinos only a 15 - 40 minute drive away (depending which town you would like to visit).

Finally, For those of you who do not want to just stay on the beach or by the pool and want to see more of the original Algarve then a circular drive through Moncarapacho, Estói, Olhão and Tavira is well worth doing. Again with the A22 link this makes a good day visit from the more touristy areas.

Fly to Faro - Casa Cristina is only 25km's from the airport.

Cheap flights available from Easyjet.co.uk, Ba.com, Flymonarch.com, BMIbaby.com, flybecom or XL.com to Faro

I can recommend car hire, they are very reliable, you pick the car and drop off at the airport car park, great, no messing about, queuing for minibus transfers.

All double glazed windows and patio doors have professionally fitted Mosquito screens.

One twin bedroom and One double bedroom both enjoying en-suite bathrooms, lighted dressing mirrors, shaver sockets, large fitted wardrobes with drawers.

The fully fitted Kitchen has Black quartz marble worktops, with Oven & Hob, extractor, double sink drainer, dishwasher, washing machine, Family size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, lots of cutlery and cups, glasses etc, and a large selection of cooking utensils, sufficient to prepare a dinner party for 6 Adults.

The lounge has a 21" Colour TV, with SKY/Digital connection, DVD, VCR with video library and portable CD/Tape player, comfortable 3 & 2 seater settee's with a nest of three tables for coffee cups etc situated around a log fire.
The dining area is furnished with a large table and 6 chairs and sideboard.

The Master bedroom is reached via a marble staircase, it has a SuperKing size bed with en-suite bathroom with His and Hers Sinks, shaver socket and lighted dressing mirrors.
A large fitted wardrobe (which houses the safe for any valuables) with drawers is adjacent to the bathroom together with full length dressing mirror.

From the Master, Walk through the sliding doors to a large wrap-around sun terrace with table and chairs benefiting from lovely panoramic countryside and sea views.

Further details outdoors:
The 8x4m kidney shaped private pool with underwater lighting, is set within a large secluded South facing Sun terrace with six comfortable sunloungers with 2 large parasols and covered terrace for alfresco dining.
Near the car parking area there is a built in BBQ with ceramic tiled benches and table for the men to provide the cuisine!

To get away from it all, there is a garden path that leads to a tiled seating bench under the carob tree, this is a nice cool spot with normally a refreshing breeze. For the evening sun, there is a hammock between the pine trees with views to the sea, for a relaxing read.

You will enjoy wonderful sunsets, especially from the master bedroom terrace where you can sit around the table with a glass of wine and take in the superb views, when the sun goes down the beautiful decorative outside lighting all around the villa carries on the theme.

This is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, sit or sunbathe around our lovely clear swimming pool in complete privacy.
The sun shines here almost all of the time and there is nothing better on a hot day than taking a dip in the pool to cool off.


Further details

A deposit of 25% is required on booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure, or immediately if booking is made within 8 weeks of departure date. A breakages deposit of £100 (payable with your balance) which will be refunded within 5 days of return of the Villa keys to us providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the Villa inventory.

Please, Strictly no smoking except on the terraces.
