This brand new villa is perfect for a larger family or couples wishing to holiday together. Its attractive design is spacious and is very well equipped and comfortably furnished ensuring a high standard of self catering accommodation.
All rooms are bright and airy and the views from the first floor are simply wonderful. As one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, this makes the villa suitable for the elderly or infirm although the house is not adapated for wheelchair users.
To the rear of the house, the swimming pool is surrounded by large terraces spacious enough for relaxing, sunbathing, BBQing and al fresco dining. There is a lower level which offers space for children to play separately or a point to simply read and relax.

The Algarve region
The Algarve's 200 kilometre stretch of southern shoreline is one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. The region has attracted visitors since the time of the Phoenicians, but today it caters for millions of tourists a year with its stunning coastline, excellent golf courses and pleasant year round climate.
Bordered on two sides by the Atlantic, the Algarve is divided from the rest of Portugal by a series of low lying mountains. In the east, the Guardiana River forms a scenic border with neighbouring Spain. The region's capital, Faro, is built around a charming harbour at the edge of a wide lagoon. Its main attractions include a maritime museum and a 13th century cathedral.
The Eastern Algarve is very different compared to the rugged beauty found west of Faro. It’s tidal marshlands have a tranquil beauty and the small resorts along the coast have retained much of their character, looking today as they must have looked long ago. Here, tourism blends in perfectly with local activities creating a relaxed way of life.
There is a tinge of excitement and even romance about those ferry or tiny boat trips to the islands, where visitors are rewarded with superb, less crowded bathing beaches and warm waters.
Moncarapacho area
The village of Arroteia has several restaurants in close proximity which are welcoming and offer typical Portguese cuisine. A must if you wish to sample to delights of the tradtional Algarve at the local rates. We particularly recommend those located in the coastal bay at the side of the River Formosa where the views are simply spectacular and fish could not be fresher!
The next nearest village is that of Moncarapacho which has a wider choice of restaurants, bars and shops around 5 minutes drive away. Golf is a key feature of the area with 6 excellent courses within a 20 minute drive. The Colina Verde course is only 3kms away and also offers tennis courts, sauna, jacuzzi, tukish bath and gymnasium facilities.
There are 2 beaches close by that we would recommend. Firstly, the beach of Barril is around 4kms away and is close to the resort of Pedras d'el Rei where you can park and then catch a small train to the main beach. Secondly, Tavira Island is reached by a short drive into Tavira Town and then catching the beach ferry from the harbour. Both have wonderfully expansive white sandy beaches and a good choice of restaurants and beach bars.

The closest airport is Faro and is served by many budget airlines from the UK including Monarch, jet2.com, Easyjet and First Choice.
