"Relaxing family holiday in a lovely Gite with fantastic views and pool"
This was the first family holiday we have had abroad other than skiing holidays, so we were a bit concerned about keeping the children (10, 12 and 14 years) entertained. Bergerac is in a rural area with plenty of chateaus (bit quiet for the kids) a few adventure parks and wildlife centres. However the real star of the holiday was the Gite - the view in the picture on Holidaylettings website looked spectacular, and the reality did not disappoint. A house full of character with spacious bedrooms and a comfortable living space. There was also a lovely pool overlooking the valley (as well as a table tennis table), which allowed us all to enjoy some relaxed quality family time together. Located only 10-15 minutes from Bergerac airport, the transfers were also very smooth. A boulangerie next door for fresh baguettes and croissants each day, and the Landlord's excellent restaurant (his Grandmother's soup is excellent and a meal in itself). Overall we returned home relaxed and happy.
