Some bathrooms are supplied with a shower and bathtub. Others have a jacuzzi/shower/tub facility.
The water in the swimming pool is usually warm. We have added rooftop solar panels to increase pool temperature. The internal dimensions of the pool are 12.4 metres by 7.1 metres. The deep end is 1.72M, the shallow end 1.12M.
Small dhows often sail by and are available to guests who want to take a short sailing trip.
For those who want to go fishing, facilities are no far away. Guests can also book a dinner on a large dhow at one of two local restaurants.
The offshore reef is very popular. Guests can walk to the reef from the villa.
All apartments are on the ground floor so restricted mobility and wheelchair guests should have few problems.
We love pet lovers but prefer that visitors not bring their pets.
Smokers are welcome but should not smoke in the bedrooms or public areas. Kenya law imposes some restrictions on where one can smoke.
Children are welcome. Visitors wishing to reduce costs may wish to accomodate children on the sofa beds.
The Kenyan Coast region
The Kenyan Coast is warm all year round. The rains fall from around March to June. The rest of the year is pretty dry. However, sunshine is never far away even in the rainy season.
Kenya is an ex-British colony and english is spoken and understood widely. Swahili is the other national language spoken throughout Kenya but particularly at the coast that has a long 'swahili' history with trade and cultural links to some middle eastern countries.
Visitors may wish to visit the 'Mombasa Old Town' or Fort Jesus for an historical perspective, Haller Park for wildlife, Mombasa Marine National Park and Reserve for snorkeling or diving, enjoy deep sea fishing, or go on a dhow cruise for dinner.
Visitors may also enjoy a trip to Malindi or Watamu, or a safari experience in one Kenya's parks.
Mombasa is Kenya's major city on the coast. It has an international airport and some charter companies offer cheap flights to Mombasa.
The international airport is also served by Kenya's national airline, Kenya Airways.
Mombasa is a popular tourist destination receiving visitors from all over the world.
When in Mombasa, make sure to see the 'Old Town', visit Fort Jesus, drop in on Haller Park, dive down to the Mombasa Marine National Park, take off on a deep sea fishing trip, dine out on a dhow or take a trip to one of the wildlife parks.
