A charming, sunny house, recently renovated and comfortably furnished. On three floors, the lounge/open kitchen and bedroom both have splendid lake-views, as does the terrace which has table and chairs. There is a bathroom on the top floor and a smaller one on the ground floor where there is also a another, more rustic, bedroom . The garden is quiet and very sunny. Characteristic restaurant and grocers at 100mt, chemist 200mt.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Moltrasio is situated within the first basin of Lake Como in the region of Lombardy. Milan, Lombardy's capital and the heart of northern Italy, is about an hour away. Lake Como is one of the most popular lakes to the south of the Alps.Many celebrities, including film stars and designers, appreciate the lake not only for it's beauty and temperate climate but also for it's relaxed approach to life. There are many charming old villages, historical monuments and fabulous gardens to visit or enjoy the lake on a relaxing boat trip to admire it's exclusive villas and beautiful scenery. The lake also provides a range of water sports from canoeing to sailing and kite surf. The largest town is Como, 7 Km away. A very elegant, historical city full of designer shops and cafes as well as many other tourist attractions. There is also an open market 3 times a week.
Moltrasio area
Moltrasio is a unique little village on the western shore of Lake Como. It has some very exclusive villas owned by wealthy industrialists and designers but at the same time has retained a quiet and friendly community. The natural surroundings are splendid and there are various walks leading directly from the house that enjoy breath-taking lake views. The village has several shops including grocer's, chemist, news agent and post office and quiet a few steps if you decide to walk!! There are various restaurants in the vicinity that cater for all tastes and budgets. Sir Winston Churchill stayed in Moltrasio for a while and a famous Italian composer, Vincenzo Bellini, was so inspired by the waterfall that cascades down the centre of the village, that he wrote an opera 'La Sonnambola'.

- Fly to Milan, Malpensa 50Km or Linate 60Km -Cheap flights available from Easyjet.co.uk -Avaliable transfer from the airport to house, only on request, €60 -Main car hire companies at all airports. -By car through Switzerland, exit Chiasso or through France and the Mont Blanc tunnel, Torino, Milano, motorway A9 and exit Como Nord, last exit for Italy.

Further details indoors: The main floor (20 sq m) consists of a lounge, with a double sofa-bed, and an open kitchen. Upstairs is one double bedroom with a separate bathroom with shower. On the ground floor is another, more rustic, bedroom with two single sofa-beds and there is also a toilet and wash-room with washing machine.
Further details outdoors: The garden has it's own built-in BBQ as well as table, chairs and garden umbrella. Free parking 100m from house.
