Home description

Butlers Cottage is set in a charming row of Thatch Cottages, the house has a small front garden full of plant pots, to the rear is a small lawned and planted cottage garden, the garden shed has ample Garden furniture, entrance to the house is from the garden, parking is on street, but you do not need a permit, parking is ample and free.

As you enter from the Garden you come into a open plan space with Beamed ceilings, Wood panels on some walls and a slate floor with Persian Rug. The modern White Kitchen and breakfast bar are at one end, with every thing you could need, we also have small gate leg table, if you do not want to use the breakfast bar.

The centre of the room has full hight inglenook fireplace.to the side is a stair case to the first floor bedroom which has carpet and paintings, the bathroom with a wood door is of the bedroom with a small bath and shower, separate wc and sink, and a small window with garden views. The house is covered in climbing plants.

We also have selection of DVDs and plenty of extras such as a real coffee maker. the ceilings are low, so not ideal for thouse above 6feet.

Stratford Upon Avon, The Cotswolds Birmingham and London are within 11/2 half hour drive. the village of Mollington is a pretty traditional village about 5 miles from the Historic market town of Banbury, our Thatch cottage was the Butlers home, who worked in the Village Manor House, we have a local pub, old church, a local bus service and stunning country views. Farnborough House stately home is a 2 mile walk away, and the village of Farnborough also has an award winning restaurant that will not break the bank.Access to the centre of England is perfect from here.


Mollington area

Oxford Stratford upon Avon, and the wonderful Gardens, Stately homes and picture box villages make this location the perfect village and rural escape.

Escape the rat race, our charming but compact end of terrace 16 century Thatch cottage is ideal to escape, put your feet up, or just take in the stunning countryside, here you are in a wonderful area for walking or touring the best of the uk, London is only 1 hour and thirty mins away, Stratford upon avon, The market Town of Banbury, Oxford and the Cotswolds are only a short drive away.

We have many quiet and stunning walks in the area, the National trust property of Farnborough Hall is just a short walk away, the village has a pub and a traditional church. Butlers cottage was the Home for the Butler working in the Manor house at the edge of this charming green village. A bus stop will take you direct to Banbury our next big town.

Our Charming Thatch Cottage is in the village of Mollington about 5 miles from the Market town of Banbury, but well positioned for the Cotswolds, Chiltern Hills and Stratford upon avon.

We are happy to allow one small dog, which should not be taken into the bedroom, the village is very strict on mess, you must keep dog on lead in the village and clean up any mess. we welcome last min and short or longer breaks, please email.

We ask that you pay £100 refundable deposit and your holiday balance is paid in full 2 weeks prior to your arrival. we will then send you full directions and key details.
