A delightful modern villa, spacious and attractively furnished with a good sized private swimming pool and lovely terraced area for sunbathing and meals al-fresco. The architecture displays echos both classical American and local Landaise style, with good quality fixtures and fittings and plenty of space to relax . The villa is set in a development along side the presigious Moliets golf course and close to the magnificent Atlantic beaches which characterise the Landes region. A network of footpaths and cycle tracks intersect the forest and the fairways, making it quite possible to walk or cycle to the beach and nearby shops, bars and restaurants. In addition to golf and tennis, there are many activities available in the vicinity including, horse riding, cycling and quad biking. Surfers from across the globe gravitate to the vast Atlantic beaches of the Landes. But if you prefer a more relaxed approach, the pine woodland setting of the villas provides the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet.
You will find the villa comfortable, modern and fully equipped for all your needs: the american style kitchen is well equipped with washing machine/ tumble dryer, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee percolator, for the most part a toaster, and a kettle and most have satellite television. It is always possible to request a VCR or/and an iron. Regarding the layout : the foyer opens out into the spacious and airy lounge where a sofa bed can accommodate 2 people. There is an additional sofa and comfortable chairs as well as a coffee table.Continuing through into the dining room the large french windows give access to the delightful terrace. The terrace provides both the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity outdoors and also the access to the private swimming pool (7 x 4m or 10 x 5 m for the larger villas). The terrace is equipped with garden furniture :tables, recliners and chairs. As regards sleeping accommodation, there is a large master bedroom, a further double bedroom, and 2 twin rooms. There is 1 main bathroom with a bath , 2 shower rooms and 2 separate toilets.
Unfortunately Barbecues are not permitted owing to local fire regulations

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region
The residence and villas are located in Moliets, a seaside resort on the Atlantic coast, an hour north of Biarritz, amidst the Landaise pine trees and close to the breathtaking scenery of the Pyrenees. Also with easy reach for day trips are Bayonne, and closer to Biarritz, the charming fishing port of St Jean de Luz. If you wish to venture a little further, the vibrant Spanish town of San Sebastian is a couple of hours drive away.
Moliets area
The little holiday town of Vieux Boucau is nearby and offers a whole host of shops and restaurants. Canoeing trips down an inland river to Leon are great fun for all the family as are guided trips on traditional flat bottom boats on the lake of Leon. There are many inland lakes in this region, offering all manner of watersports and a contrast to the dramatic Atlantic waves. Bicycles are a popular way to get around in this area, with miles of cycle tracks through the forests.
How to get there
There are regular flights with Ryanair to Biarritz from Stansted, Dublin and Shannon. It takes just under an hour to drive up from Biarritz. Alternatively, several airlines fly into Bordeaux, which is just under 2 hours drive: Flybe from Southampton, BMIbaby from Manchester, BA from London Gatwick and Easyjet from Luton. All the main car hire companies have desks at both airports. If you want to take the ferry and drive down, St Malo is the closest port at 656km. Brittany Ferries have an overnight crossing into there and this would enable you to drive down through France in one day. Alternatively the distance from Calais is 997km (mostly motorway). Whilst it is possible to do in one stretch (we did it once), we wouldn't recommend it.

Further details outdoors: The Moliets golf course offers a 9 hole and an 18 hole golf course which wind its way through the pine forests and dunes. There is also a practice range. Preferential rates for golf are available at certain times to our customers. The golf club also has a tennis centre with many indoor and outdoor courts and coaching available if required. The restaurant at the golf course is very good! or there are dozens of other restauarants by the beaches.

Towels per person per week : 6 euros (included a hand and a bath towel) . Please calculate the total number of towel sets required for your stay. Sheets per person per week : 8 euros. Electricity is charged at a flat rate of 35 euros per week. Animals are welcome 5 euros per day or 30 euros per week. Breakfast : There is a morning delivery service which can be ordered and paid for at reception. Baby pack : Cot : 29 euros per week. The cot will be placed in your accommodation for when you arrive. Conditions
A holiday tax of 0.90 Euros per person per day (approximately) is not included in the price. A Damage and cleaning deposit of 750 euros is payable on arrival. To pay this your cedit card can be swiped at reception and no money will be taken unless there are damage or cleaning charges at the end of your stay. You are asked to leave your villa clean and tidy but if you prefer, you can choose to pay for a final clean which costs between 200 and 288 euros. During your stay, a daily cleaning service is available and costs 39 euros. A mid-stay cleaning service is available to make your beds, clean your floors, clean and tidy your bathroom and empty dustbins. Cleaning of kitchens is not included in this service. Mid-stay Cleaning service : 49 euros.

Guestbook for 4 bedroom Villa Moliets beach
Our villa was far, far better than I’d ever expected. As a non-golfer player, I was concerned that I’d feel slightly left out but in fact I was delighted when the others went off for their round of golf and left me to enjoy my surroundings in splendid solitude! On the first day, my plan to relax by our private pool was somewhat thwarted as I kept popping inside to marvel at the stunning lounge and kitchen! I did squeeze in a game or 2 of tennis but the ultimate goal of the holiday was a complete rest - mission accomplished! Jenny, May 2006
We had a brilliant holiday. The accommodation was great and they did give us a 5 bed villa which helped with the large age gap in the children. The reception at Villas Club Royal Ocean La Prada were very helpful, in particular a lady called Laura. We had fun doing lots of activities including horseriding, quad biking, canoeing along a river, tennis and hiring bikes many of which the reception booked for us. We made use of the daily bread delivery. The pool (although sometimes chilly) was well used by all of us as well as regular trips to the beach. Both families agreed it is a holiday which we will repeat again in the future. One comment we have is that maybe there could be an inclusive villa price (including bed linen and towels) for families like us who fly and the baggage allowance is not sufficient for us to bring them! These houses are just amazing. Loads of space, nicely furnished, great feeling of space. For golfers its great, with the club house just down the road and for non-golfers, you’d hardly know it was there. There is a selection of shops, bars and restaurants just nearby and the beach is amazing ,going on for miles in both directions. Its important that you follow the instructions and stick to the designated swimming areas where the lifeguards patrol, as there are some dangerous currents along this coast.
