Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 3
New to the holiday lettings market, Dee View is a recently redecorated, pretty two bedroomed semi-detached cottage built around 1900. The cottage has been modernised and maintained to a high standard with full gas central heating yet still retains its character and period charm. Situated in a very peaceful, rural location only a short distance from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the thriving market town of Mold. The lounge has an open coal fire and is comfortably furnished with sofa, armchair, tv, freesat and dvd player. The kitchen /dining room has a belfast sink, electric cooker, microwave, built in fridge with small freezer compartment and built in dishwasher, table with 3 chairs and built in dresser style cupboards. There is a small utility area with washing machine and drying facilities, and a cloakroom with wc and washbasin. Stairs rising off the small front hallway lead to a lovely front double bedroom with original black cast iron fireplace, double bed and waxed pine bedroom furniture. The single bedroom at the rear of the property is furnished with a single bed, and white bedroom furniture. The bathroom has a wc, washbasin and bath with shower attachment. The cottage is accessed by a short lane and has covered parking for one car, and a private rear lawned garden with patio. Additional cleaning and change of bedding/towels on stays of more than 2 weeks if required.
This is an excellent base for walkers and cyclists with the Clwydian Range and Offa's Dyke Path a short distance away. Shed available for secure storage of bikes by prior arrangement. The cottage is also ideally situated for exploring North Wales and the nearby city of Chester by car or public transport. There are some lovely country pubs nearby, one which sells real ale, and several which serve good home cooked food, both lunchtime and evening.

"Cosy cottage in a perfect location for getting away from it all."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas time. Travelling with a young baby, Stephanie was very accommodating and provided everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved how cosy it w… More

"Fantastic stay at a lovely cottage"
We stayed at this cottage for 1 week during July 2013. The house appears to be a period old workers property in a quiet village which has been sympathetically decorated and is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The owner Stephanie was very welcoming and kindly took the trouble to leave breakfast items (including bacon!), milk, strawberries and wine in the fridge. The cottage is ideally situated for venturing into North Wales and the border. Loggerheads country part is only a 5 minute drive away - we highly recommend Caffi Florence for breakfast and light meals. Chester park and ride is about 20 minutes away. Compared with staying in a hotel or even a B&B the price we paid represented excellent value for money and we liked the fact that for 1 week we felt completely relaxed in our home from home. Highly recommended.
Many thanks for your review. It was lovely to meet you all and hopefully you will come and stay at Dee View again in the future.

"Lovely little cottage, we were sad to leave."
A lovely little semi detatched cottage in a quiet location. Circular walks through fields and down to the 'Leete' path can be done from the cottage, and there are more walks in the Clwydian Range a short drive away including Moel Famau and parts of the Offa's Dyke path - fantastic views, and Moel Famau is not too long a walk if you drive up to the top car park. Loggerheads country park is worth a visit about 5 min drive away or within cycling distance. Country lanes and bridleways are accessible from the house for cycling. Mold is also about 5 min drive away (or bus ride from the lane outside the house) which has a good market on a Wednesday and Saturday, and Theatre Clwyd which also has a cinema. About 20/30 min away is Chester, lovely place to walk around the city walls etc. Garden to sit in, and a lovely view over the Dee from the bedroom. A very peaceful place.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope you will visit again in the future.
