Home description

The property is located in the village of Cabrera, which has two restaurants, horse riding and tennis. Golf courses can be found nearby, the nearest being in Cortijo Grande approximately 10 minutes drive away. Other golf course include Dessert Springs and Mojacar.

In the village of Turre approximately 6 kilometres, you will find several bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Turre also has a good supermarket, banks, pharmacy and most other amenities that you would expect to find in a large village/small town.

Further shops, bars and restaurants can be found in both old Mojacar and along Mojacar seafront. Granada is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours away and is well worth a visit. Attractions nearer to hand include a water park at Vera, Mini Holywood and other film sets used to film various westerns, Cabo de Gata natural park and many beaches along the coast road.

The Costa de Almeria region

Costa Almeria has a warm sunny climate with areas of natural beauty. This beautiful and largely unspoilt region features more than 200 miles of dramatic coastline. The weather is superb, as Almeria boasts one of the driest and sunniest climates in Europe with around 320 days of sunshine.

There are many first class sporting facilities; in fact Almería was appointed the host for the Almería 2005 15th Mediterranean Games. There are first-class water sports facilities and it’s also a golfer’s paradise, with several superb courses.

Mojacar / Cabrera area

Tennis, golf and horse riding are all almost on the doorstep. The beach is approximately 20 minutes drive away with some quite undeveloped coves to be found a little further away.

Skiing 2.5 hours away in winter months. Mojacar old town only a short drive away is worth a visit. The pretty white village is perched high on the hillside with extensive views of the surrounding area.

How to get there

Almeria is the nearest airport being approximately 50 minutes drive. Murcia and Alicante are around 2 hours drive. Airlines flying to Almeria include Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch, BMI Baby and Jet 2. Alicante is the largest of the three airport and as well as budget airlines British Airways also flys there.

Car hire is availabe at all three airports. It is always cheaper to book in advance through booking agents such as Car Jet, Rent Spain or Do You Spain.

There could well be others but these are the ones that we have used in the past. Prices can vary, so check one or two.

Car hire is essential.

Put-u-up bed is available for 5th person - more suitable for a child.

It should be noted that the twin bedroom with en suite bathroom is self contained and is just across the courtyard.

Doors to both bedrooms come out into the court yard and are within a few feet of each other.

The views from the property are extensive stretching as far as Sierra Nevada on a clear day.

The property is set in a peaceful mountain location which is quite stunning with beautiful sunsets to be enjoyed from the roof terrace.

The courtyard provides a private location for eating drinking and generally relaxing. There is also a covered area off the courtyard when you need a break from the sun.

Bed linen and towels are supplied, except beach towels.

For stays of two weeks there will be a change of linen mid stay.

Conditions

We are happy to accommodate families with children but would remind you that the second bedroom is self contained and that your supervision of small children is essential in the pool area and on the roof terrace.

Requests for bookings mid week to mid week or for any number of days exceeding 7 days i.e. 10 days, will be accommodated when possible.
