About the home

This wonderful rustic villa offers home-from-home comforts within a peaceful and secluded setting, yet Villa Aguaribay is just a few minutes away from nearby amenities and the idyllic Moorish village of Mojacar and its beautiful beaches.

The villa maintains much of its original Spanish charm and characteristics with original tiled floors, wooden beams and rustic features throughout. Elegantly furnished, this stylish and highly impressive villa has beautiful gardens which provide a blaze of tropical splendour for much of the year. With secluded terraces, a private pool and gardens this is the perfect retreat.

The villa is set in its own private grounds of 2500 m2 and is spread over two floors. The ground floor consists of a large family sized kitchen and separate utility area. There is a separate dining area that caters for six people and has access to the gardens on both sides of the room.

The main living room is most impressive with two rest areas and a gallery landing with outstanding views. The main seating area is focused around the original large open fire place with a second area at the end of the room which is ideal for kicking back, relaxing and taking in the fantastic views across the valley.

There is then a further TV room with satellite TV.

The main bedroom (twin) is also on the ground floor and has access out onto the garden and pool area. This bedroom also has the luxury of its own en suite bathroom and is air-conditioned.

The top floor consists of two further bedrooms. One double bedroom has its own terrace with amazing views over the garden and out to the Sierra Cabrera mountains. The other bedroom is a good sized twin. Both bedrooms are also air-conditioned. There is also a further full bathroom and a separate toilet.

The Valley of Cortijo Grande has become deservedly famous for its amazing surroundings and profuse vegetation. In the centre of the valley lies the 9 hole golf course that is flanked by mountains that rise to almost 1000m above sea level. The course itself is a true pleasure to play with the fairways and greens decorated and framed with citrus groves, fig and olive trees.

Cortijo Grande is the perfect location for golfers and non-golfers alike. Relax in the perfect countryside surroundings or take part in the many activities the Valley has to offer, such as horse riding, tennis and hiking over the impressive nature trails that stretch over hundreds of acres of unspoilt parkland. Don’t forget that the beautiful beaches of Mojacar are only 10 minutes away!

The Costa de Almeria region

The Mojacar / Cortijo Grande area

Mojacar village is an idyllic mix of sugar-cubed whitewashed buildings, cobbled winding streets and beautiful Moorish architecture. The main square looks across to the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains and is filled with street cafes, bars, boutiques and shops. Take a stroll through the maze of cobbled streets hidden behind the main square and you will find some wonderful
restaurants and bars.

The area has many archaeological sites revealing Phoenician, Roman and Carthaginian histories. Visits to the local markets are very popular: Mojacar on Wednesdays, Garrucha on Fridays and Vera on Saturdays.

Easyjet, Monach and BA fly from most uk airports to Almeria.

Airport pickups can be arranged at reasonable rates. We do however recommend that you rent a car. This will give you total freedom to explore the beautiful Almeria coast.
