Home description
This pretty and spacious townhouse, new to the rental market, has just been refurbished to a high standard with a new fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning/heating in the living room and bedrooms, English TV, DVD player and new comfortable leather sofas. A private terrace off the living room has chairs, table and sun beds with pool and mountain views.
Both bedrooms have balconies with fantastic sea and mountain views and equipped with chairs and tables. Main bedroom has a king size bed with the second bedroom having full size twin beds. Upstairs bathroom with shower over bath, bidet, toilet and cupboards and another toilet downstairs.
Ideal for a relaxing holiday for couples or families in this quiet complex. Please note that I don't accept smokers or children under 11.

The Costa de Almeria region
Costa Almeria is the sunniest and warmest region in Spain boasting over 320 days of sunshine a year and low rainfall. The coast is very varied with busy beach resorts such as Mojacar, Garrucha and the naturist beaches of Vera Playa, pretty fishing villages such as Villaricos and miles of unspoilt and undeveloped coastline. Much of the coast has a backdrop of spectacular mountains.
The Cabo de Gato Natural Park in the east has a spectacular rugged and mountainous coastline with small unspoilt coastal villages with such as Agua Amarga and Isleta del Maro and . The park shelters a wealth of wildlife and has a lagoon which is an over wintering and breeding area for many birds and was declared a Unesco Biosphere reserve in 1997. The coast around the Cabo de Gata is ideal for diving, underwater photography and snorkelling.
Inland is Europe's only desert with the film sets used by actors such as Clint Eastwood for the Spaghetti westerns of the 1960's. The film sets are popular tourist attractions. Mountain biking and 4x4 excursions are popular in the mountains.
Mojacar / Mojacar Playa area
Mojacar has two areas, the beach resort of Mojacar Playa and a couple of kilometres inland is the historic Moorish town, Mojacar Pueblo.
The developed part of Mojacar Playa has 7 miles of sandy beaches with children’s play areas, mini golf and a few beach bars. Across the road from the beach are many shops, restaurants, bars, fes and hotels resulting in a busy lively resort. Local laws ensure that residential buildings cannot be more than 2 stories high and hotels 4 stories high. As there are no high rise buildings and many of the residential properties are painted white, the resort still retains much of its Spanish charm and character. Part of the beach has an attractive promenade walkway and a separate cycle track.
Mojacar Pueblo is an old 'white' Moorish hilltop town with a labyrinth of winding cobbled streets and spectacular views to the mountains and sea. Each summer the fiesta of the 'Moors and Christians' take place with the locals parading in extravagant costumes.
Sporting activities include diving, snorkelling, sailing, fishing, golf (a number of golf courses), quad biking, and horse riding. There is a water park at Vera and Go Karting at Garrucha.
How to get there
Almeria airport 50 minutes drive on a very quiet motorway. Murcia airport 1 hour 30 minutes drive. Alicante airport 2 hour 30 minutes drive. Easyjet and Monarch fly into Almeria. Most cheap airlines fly into Murcia or Almeria.
Airport transport can be arranged at extra cost but renting a car is advisable which can be under £100 for week.

Further details indoors: The outside front has plants in the borders and pretty bougainvillea climbing up the walls.
The whole house is very light and downstairs in particular is very spacious and airy. There is a selection of games, books and CDs available for guests to use.
The kitchen fitted in February 2008 is extremely well equipped with brand new crockery, cutlery, pans, glasses and kitchen tools etc. The cooker with an overhead extractor fan has a 4 ring halogen hob, full fan oven and grill. The microwave also has a grill facility. There are ice bags and plastic crockery available for a picnic on the beach or countryside.
Further details outdoors: The communal swimming pool has a shallow section for children and showers at the poolside. The lawned area next to the pool, with views of the mountains is great for soaking up the sun.
The outside areas are well equipped with two chairs and a table on each balcony, 4 chairs and table on the terrace and two sun beds. At most times of day you can find either sun or shade to suit you mood on the terraces or balconies.
If you are an early riser you can watch the sun rise and the boats from Garrucha heading out for the days fishing from the twin room balcony. In the evening, from the main bedroom balcony, you can watch the sun disappear behind the mountain. Open the curtains from in the main bedroom in the morning to see the sea from the bed.
The outside front has plants in the borders and pretty bougenvilla climbing up the walls. The back terrace has recently been extended and improved to provide extra space for sunbed and eating out. This now differs slightly from the photo as the steps are narrower and the bourgenvilla has been removed. New plants and bourgenvilla will be added in September.
The private drive for off street for parking is a bonus as many properties in Mojacar do not have dedicated parking.
Please note the property is 0.3 km gentle uphill from the beach road but with a short steep section. Bring a torch for late night returns as the complex lighting goes off around midnight.

25% deposit required to secure all bookings and the balance payable 8 weeks before departure.
£100 damages deposit required which will be refunded within a week of return from holiday.
