About the home

The apartment is located in the quiet hillside complex, Atalaya de Mojacar, with a key position. From this top floor apartment you can enjoy panoramic views of the Med. On your doorstep you will find a 18-hole golf course: "Marina Golf Mojácar" which has its own driving range within 2-3 minutes walk. Being in our top floor apartment with only the hill behind you we feel sure that you will really feel the tranquil surroundings and relax. If you want some exuberant time, a tourist complex made up of four large 4-star hotels is right next to the beach within 5 minutes walk, where guests can enjoy their facilities. At the same point a good local bus service will take you down to anywhere along the ‘holiday strip’ of Mojacar Playa and up to the Spanish fishing town of Garrucha, where you can watch the days catch being auctioned off to local restaurants, ready for your evening meal. There is something for everyone.

A large balcony crosses 3 rooms, with outdoor furniture so that you can eat under sunshine with full view of Med coastline. An underground secured car park for guest. Two shared outdoor pools (one for children), one heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi. Outside green space with plenty plants/flowers.

We respectfully require guests vacant apartment before 11am and occupy apartment after 3:00pm so that we can take great care to ensure the apartment is in excellent condition.

The Costa de Almeria region

The Andalusian province of Costa Almeria can be found in south-eastern Spain. This beautiful and largely unspoilt region features more than 200 miles of dramatic coastline. The weather is superb, as Almeria boasts one of the driest and sunniest climates in Europe with around 320 days of sunshine. The average temperature is 27º in summer and 15º in winter. This makes Almeria an all-year round holiday destination and a great place to live. Not only that, stunning mountains surrounds the region, and in the winter you can even go skiing on the Sierra Nevada ski resorts near Granada (about 2 ½ hours drive away).

Part of the region has a dry and desert like landscape that has made the Costa de Almeria famous for the filming of many movies, such as “The good, the bad, and the ugly”. There are many first class sporting facilities; in fact Almería was appointed the host for the Almería 2005 15th Mediterranean Games. There are first-class water sports facilities and it’s also a golfer’s paradise, with several superb courses.

The Mojacar area

Mojacar is actually comprised of two distinct areas: Mojacar Pueblo (town) and Mojacar Playa (beach), roughly 2 km apart.

The town of Mojacar is perched high on a hill in the Sierre Cabrera it overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. It is a picturesque sight of whitewashed buildings and steep and winding, cobbled streets. It was a centre of trade for the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans but the Moorish influence dating from the 8th Century, is most visible.

The uncrowded sandy beach of Mojacar Playa strechs 17 km long. Only 7 km have been developed and they consistently earn European Blue Flag awards for cleanliness. The beach resort has been developed over the past two decades, it is now a lively resort with much to offer with beach bars, local and international restaurants, discos, hotels and shops. It is golfer's paradise with two beach golf course on the Playa and a few nearby.
