About the home

Casa Palmera is a lovely detached 4 bedroom villa with its own private pool located in the beautiful unspoilt area of Cariatiz which has stunning views and a tranquil setting. The house is an ideal holiday home for a large family or for two families to share as all of the bedrooms are doubles and the Living Room is very spacious and bright. The recently refitted kitchen is well equipped with a gas range cooker with 5 burner hob and oven. There is a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.

The villa benefits from its own private pool with shallow end ideally suited for children, the pool area is fully paved and the pool and terrace areas fully enclosed. The pool and garden area are not overlooked by any other property, this is a great area for fun and relaxation.

Inside the property, all floors are fully tiled and the interior decor and furnishing are of a bright and traditional style. The four double bedrrooms are located on the first floor and are air-conditioned as is the Living Room which also has satellite television and its own balcony. Also on the first floor is a recently refitted bathroom with corner bath and shower, both the bathroom and the ground floor shower room have high quality fittings and tiles. The ground floor features a playroom/bedroom 5, the kitchen/breakfast room, a large entrance hallway and large fully tiled shower room. There are double doors from the kitchen out onto the terrace area which leads to the swimming pool. The property also has a garage which is ideal for storage, this can be accessed from the inner hallway.

This villa is ideal for families with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and good facilities at the property. The house is alarmed, has a safe and rejas or shutters to all of the accessible windows and doors.

The Costa de Almeria region

The province of Almeria is one of the most unspoilt and charming areas of Southern Spain and enjoys the warmest and sunniest climate in the whole of Europe making it an ideal year round holiday destination. If you are looking for beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, fine architecture, and good restaurants then this area makes for the perfect holiday location. There are also a number of world renowned golf courses .

There are many pretty towns and villages along with a choice of fine beaches, if you are looking for more lively nightlife then this is also available. There are a wide range of activities for all age groups allowing you to do as much or as little as you choose during your well earned break.

The Mojacar / Cariatiz area

The property is located in a lovely area, convenient for many activities and yet peaceful enough for quality relaxation time, it is surrounded by almond trees and olive trees and has spectacular views. Cariatiz has a bar, tapas bar, food store, pool bar, local hotel and restaurant and there is a wide choice of further bars and restaurants within a short drive.

Local towns include Turre and Mojacar, both of which have a variety of restaurants and bars. Mojacar has a large beach, many beach bars, numerous shops, a shopping plaza and several supermarkets. Mojacar Pueblo is a historic town set on the hills overlooking the playa with stunning views, cobbled streets, plenty of restaurants and a pretty town square. The fishing port of Garrucha is a short drive away and Turre has a supermarket that is open seven days a week.

There are some lovely restaurants in Turre which is a 20 minute drive away, Mojacar Playa offers busier nightlife with bars, restaurants and Clubs.
There is a great go-kart track at Garrucha which features a large outside circuit which is open until late and a mini track for the little ones. There is a super water park at Vera which has several pools, a wave pool, lots of water slides and restaurants which all makes for a great day out. Tabernas has a large modern zoo which is located next to Fort Bravo, a wild west theme park where there are shows daily.

Within the surrounding area and a short drive away there is horse riding, paintball and clay pigeon shooting as well as several golf courses including Valle Del Este and Desert Springs which are of high quality.

The historic city of Granada is two hours away, there is also skiing there in the winter months in the Sierra Nevada. Almeria is only 40 minutes away which makes the property convenient for the airport. Almeria is a busy City with numerous shops and a busy town centre. Almeria Football Club also currently play in the Spanish Premier League if you are a football fan!

Carboneras offers another choice of a fine beach and the Parque Natural Cabo de Gata is a prominent nature reserve of outstanding beauty.

This is a great area for a holiday with plenty of options for a wide range of activities in a lovely setting.

The closest airport to the property is Almeria Airport which is around 40 minutes away. Other airports include Murcia (1.5 hours) and Alicante (2 hours), there are regular flights from several UK airports with Easyjet and Monarch.
The property is located in the village of Cariatiz which is off Junction 514 of the E15 motorway in a peaceful, beautiful setting yet convenient for the beaches of Mojacar Playa and the towns of Turre, Garrucha and Mojacar Pueblo. The historic city of Granada is only some two hours away.
