The property is situated in a quiet development, just across the road from the beach and close to bars, restaurants, etc. It has been furnished throughout to a high standard with all new fittings and appliances including air conditioning/ heating throughout the apartment.
The lounge has two comfortable sofas, TV with English non-subscription channels (Sky News, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, etc.), DVD player, glass and chrome dining table and four chairs, central control unit for the air conditioning/heating, plus large patio doors providing access to the terrace which has table and chairs and sun loungers. Kitchen and utility are fitted out, amongst other things, with fridge/freezer, oven, ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine and water heater.
Both bedrooms each have 2 single beds, fitted wardrobes and louvre shutters fitted to the windows to help keep the light out if you want to have a siesta in the afternoon - or just have a lie in. The development is gated and has secure garage parking.

The Costa de Almeria region
The unspoilt coastal region of Almería has an abundance of sunshine to go with its miles of beaches and secluded coves, having approx 320 days of sunshine a year. This climate allows the enjoyment of many outdoor activities year round, such as golf, cycling, walking, etc., without the unpleasant hindrance of rainfall for the majority of the time. Swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the beach are some of the possible Christmas Day activities enjoyed in previous years!
Mojacar area
There are many activities in Mojácar for those who wish to partake, such as golf, water sports, scuba diving, lawn bowling, hiking, cycling - and many more. Plus those a bit further a field like the Water Park in Vera or the film and stage sets to visit or take part in at Tabernas. However the area is equally attractive for those who want to spend their holiday relaxing: strolling to one of the many restaurants to sample the local cuisine - or something more familiar; taking a dip in the pool or the sea; or chilling out on the terrace with your own supply of drinks from the fridge.
If you visit Mojácar in June you may be lucky enough to witness the "invasion" of Mojácar by the Moors, “defended" by the Christians. There are battles on the beach, parades in the village of both warring factions, plus paella and wine in Mojácar town square to keep the troops, and everyone else, fed and watered. There is also entertainment, and bars are set up in Mojácar village to keep both sides, plus visitors coming to watch the re-enactment of this ancient battle, entertained during the evening - and through to the next morning if you have the stamina - when its time to start the day with hot chocolate and churros (doughnut type strips covered in sugar)! In 2009 this battle will take place the weekend of 19th, 20th, 21st June.
How to get there
By air: to Almeria airport (LEI) - approx 50 mins by car to Alicante airport (ALC) - approx 150 mins by car to Murcia airport (MJV) - approx 120 mins by car Many low cost airlines fly into these airports from, such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, etc. and British Airways flies into Alicante from London Gatwick (LGW).
By road: take the E15 motorway turnoff for Los Gallardos at km 525 - full directions will be provided on confirmation of booking
By coach: to Mojacar from Madrid, Barcelona, Murcia, Granada, Almeria, etc.
Car hire: can be arranged on-line for collection at the airport - or can be arranged with a local company for airport collection. Possibility of arranging "over 70" rentals with local company whose insurance covers this type of rental agreement - for local collection or airport collection
