The Costa de Almeria region
If you've never visited Mojácar, in a corner of Spain which has the good fortune to experience more sunny days than almost any other part of the country, then don't delay, book now! If you've been here before then I'm sure you can't wait to come back!
Mojacar area
Mojácar Playa beach area is located just 100m from the apartment which is within easy walking distance of amenities such as supermarket, bars, restaurants, beach bars, and the delightful promenade with its abundance of elegant palm trees. If you don't want to hire a car you can still visit the nearby villages of Vera, the old Moorish village of Mojácar perched on top of a hill overlooking the sea, and the fishing villages of Garrucha and Carboneras by using the local bus service. And further afield to the magnificent Alhambra palace in Granada, the provincial capital of Almería, or even as far as Madrid or Barcelona on the long distance buses.
Plus there are plenty of places to shop including the local produce market selling fresh meat, poultry, fish, fruit and vegetables, which is open from 9.00 until 2.00 Monday to Saturday in Garrucha. Plus supermarkets in the area - one of which is only approx 100 yards away. There are also colourful weekly street markets in the nearby towns of Vera (Saturday), Carboneras (Thursday), Garrucha (Friday) and up in Mojácar Village itself on Wednesdays, all selling a wide variety of goods including ceramics, leather, clothes, etc.
How to get there
There are a number of budget airlines such as such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, etc. flying into the nearby airports.
The approximate journey time from the airport to the apartment is: Almeria (approx 50mins), Murcia (approx 120 mins) and Alicante (approx 150 mins).
Car hire is widely available on the internet to collect at the airports, or locally from the resort.
Transfers from/to the airport can also be arranged.
Driving directions can be provided from Almeria, Murcia or Alicante airports.

Further details indoors: This spacious apartment of approx 95 square metres plus approx 45 square metres of terrace area, comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hall, living/dining room, kitchen and terrace - plus private parking and use of the 2 swimming pools (one specifically for young children). There is a small safe fitted in which you can store your passports, money, etc.
The living/dining area has two comfy sofas, dining table and 6 chairs, occasional tables, TV with some English satellite channels (from Sky, BBC and ITV), individually controlled air conditioning/heating unit plus patio door out to the large south-facing terrace with views of the swimming pool and of the sea. The terrace has table and chairs plus sun loungers and an awning over part of it to provide shade when needed.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, a wall full of fitted wardrobes, full en-suite bathroom with toilet, basin, bidet and bath with shower over, an individually controlled air conditioning/heating unit and patio doors out onto the terrace. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, ceiling fan, free standing wardrobe and chest of drawers. The window has a view of the terrace and on to the sea. The entrance to both bedrooms and the family bathroom is off an inner hall - closed off from the main living area.
Self-catering is easy with this well equipped kitchen (including fridge/freezer, hob, oven (stove), microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, crockery, cutlery, etc.) which can be closed off from the living/dining area when required by partly glassed sliding doors.
There is an underground garage with automatic doors, in which to keep your car cool out of the hot summer sun, until you wish to use it again. It has lift (elevator) access from the garage to the apartment entrance. Although this is a ground floor apartment, there is a flight of stairs up to the entrance to the block, except when entering through the garage, elevating the vast terrace and making it private from anyone passing by and giving it a superb sea view.
