Superb penthouse apartment in great location, with large sunny balcony overlooking Med just below. Mojacar and the Costa Almeria is a relatively quiet part of Spain with low rise development. Plenty to do and interesting places to visit but not loud or crowded unlike most Costas. Lay in bed and watch sunrise over the Med, enjoy a late night drink on the balcony looking out on the sea or mountains behind or wander 20metres to the uncrowded communal pool (13x7m) and gardens for a leisurely swim. The fully air conditioned penthouse apartment - recently redecorated and lovingly cared for by owners who live close by- is well equipped with spacious lounge (with double patio doors to balcony) with 2 settees, coffee table and attractive sideboard supplemented by TV (satellite), DVD and Video. Wifi is available. There is a separate dining area and a fully fitted kitchen (washing machine, microwave, electric oven, fridge freezer) .The twin bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes and bedside cabinets and also leads on to the large balcony through large patio doors. Views of the sea, mountains and sunrise from your bed!! There is one well equipped bathroom with wc, bidet, wash basin and power shower over the bath. The large and private balcony gets all day sun (in winter sun disappears at 6pm and in summer at sunset) and provides the 'wow' factor and has all usual patio furniture and sunbeds.The apartment has a travel cot and push chair and so can take a couple + small child. there are heaters for those chillier winter evening

Well equipped - one bedroom with twin beds which can be pushed together to in effect make a large double or pulled apart to make two singles.The balcony also has shade and privacy with a vertical retractable blind at one end (see photo) and a covered pergola above part of the balcony - the great views cannot be underestimated or easily rivalled.
The apartment is near and on same level as the car park and pool. The pool is a key feature of the small complex and is usually very quiet. There is easy access for disabled or elderly.(but NOT wheelchair access into bathroom).
The apartment has free wi-fi and satellite TV.
All linen and towels, including beach towels, are provided. Prices are all inclusive. No hidden extras.

The balcony is a key feature of this property -it is large and private (top floor so not overlooked) with superb views. The proximity to the lovely communal pool and the car parking bay on same level is also an advantage. The complex benefits from security and has a lockable gate to the pool.
A deposit of £100 for one week stays and £150 for longer stays paid by bank transfer is required to secure booking and the balance is paid by bank transfer one month before the holiday. Cheques can be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
the owners ask that any breakages are replaced by the guests but please note any appreciable damage to the apartment will result in a levy against the guests.
The apartment should be vacated by 10.30 am and access on arrival is usually after 2 pm (unless told otherwise by prior arrangement). A detailed information pack is available in the apartment. Electricity, air con, water, linen and towels are included in the price
The Costa de Almeria region
The Almanzora region of the Costa Almeria is reputedly the sunniest and driest area of Spain. It has considerable places of interest and some unusual scenery both on the coast and inland. Mojacar old town is only a few minutes away and is a Moorish town on a hill, the Cabo de Gata parc naturel' provides great limestone and volcanic coastal scenery and starts only 2 miles south of the complex ;sandy beaches in mojacar are superb but there are also secluded coves to the south. The inland but nearby mountains are beautiful with many typical and unspoiled Andalucian villages as weell as limestone caves and the Spaghetti western location for clint eastwood movies at Mini hollywood (also a zoo there). Almeria , Cartagena and Granada (Alhambra) are all feasible as day trips.
Mojacar Old town is worth a visit. The Playa has an abundance of pleasant bars and good restaurants. There are the usual beach facilities and activities all within walking distance but the beach is rarely overcrowded. There are a few discos and night clubs but these are at least 2 miles along the seafront from the apartment. There is an aquapark and go kart track within 25 minutes by car. Golf courses at Marina (10 Mins) and the more challenging Desert springs or Valle del Este (both 25 mins) whilst the new course at Macenas (just 2 kms south) will be open in late summer 07. The Moors and Christians festival is a highlight of summer and is usually over the 2nd weekend of June in the Old Town. There is a regular bus service from near the apartment.
