Les voiles verte
from £61 /night help
B&B | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 7
Les Voile Verte is a bed and breakfast, newly opened for 2014 and provides a high standard of accommodation and comfort for all guests. Our first room is spacious and ideal for a couple or three people and is light and airy with an en suite shower room. The second room is large and bright and can sleep a family of four comfortably, it is also en suite with shower and bath. Both rooms look out over our pretty local village and the sun rises from this direction and can be quite stunning.
WI FI is available.
We are in a rural setting and the lane next to the house leads to the river Couesnon and a foot/cycle path which leads in one direction to Pontorson our local town and the other way to the world famous Mont St Michel, both are within walking distance for the fairly fit.. If you prefer to drive, we are 5 minutes away from t Mont St Michel which is only 1 of the many attractions in the area and a local bus passes by the house many times daily. There are 3 ferry ports, St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg, which range between 40 minutes and 2 hours away and the nearest airport is Dinan which is also 40 minutes away.

The Basse-Normandie region
The whole of Normandy and Brittany is littered with wonderful places to visit and the world renown French cuisine is well represented here. There are country walks, exciting cities and beautiful beaches, no wonder people return to the area year after year. Once you have been you will want to return again and again. The only bad thing about Normandy is leaving at the end of your vaccation.
There are so many places to visit, its hard to know where to start. The more well known places like St Malo, the walled town is a cornucopia of fine buildings and fascinating shops and of course the beaches, Dinard with its river front cafes, where you can take a romantic river cruise and Cancale where you can sample some freshly caught Oysters on the beach, are a must. Less well known is the Castle at Fougeres where you can spend time taking in the architecture and way of life of yester year. Within a couple of hours, so good for a complete day out, are the Normandy Landing Beaches are so moving and the Citie de la Mer in Cherbourg where Oceanarium is too small a word to cover the amazing world under the ocean, and where the largest Submarine which can be boarded in Europe is situated. Granville is also very interesting and as a port you can take a ferry to Jersey for the day several times a week. Then there is the markets which most towns have every week and the displays of locally produced cheese and meat products make your mouth water. The French produce is available in abundance and is delicious.

"This is an excellent B&B with a good location to visit Mont St-Michel"
This is a newly refurbished house with two large rooms for guests. Each room has a double bed and a single bed, and is tastefully furnished. The bathroom is large and nice (ours has a large window). We only spent one night. We did not return from Mont St-Michel until well past 11 p.m.. The owners, Marriane and Roy, waited for us before going to bed. They are wonderful hosts and speak perfect English - they are British ! We had a car and the location is convenient.

Everything that one would want from a bed and breakfast plus more. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The surroundings peaceful, a 5 minute drive from le Mont St Michel and 5 minutes from Pontorson the nearest town. Marianne and Roy are wonderful hosts. This is my second time here:)
