The Istria region
The Istrian region is known by some as the new Tuscany. Like its namesake It has beautiful rollling countryside scattered with vineyards and olive groves. The area is steeped in history with a strong Roman and Venetian influence. There are many historical places of interest to visit such as the Amphitheater in Pula which is the 2nd largest in the World.
Mofardini area
Mofardini is a traditional Istrian Hamlet. Within walking distance of the house there is a grocery shop and an excellent traditional Istrian restaurant .
Within a short drive there are the delightful hilltop towns of Motavun and Grožnjan and the historic coastal towns of Porec and Rovinj .
