Further details indoors

Maison Camelia essentially has 4 bedrooms: 2 twin and 2 double. It also has a 'snug' room on the first floor with a sofa bed and on the lower ground a second sofa bed-room next to the shower room (ideal for the less able). This room can double up as a playroom. Entering the house through the conservatory (a warm, quiet area good for reading) you then continue into the lounge/diner. Going down the steps to the kitchen/playroom/shower/toilet or up the steps to the first and second floors which contain bedrooms on split levels and a second newly refurbished bathroom. The cellar contains a washing machine and tumbledryer.

Further details outdoors

You enter the property through large iron gates to the front garden full of trees. The rear garden is well-kept and about 1/3 of a football pitch in size - it has some fruit and pine trees and a camelia flowering in April, hence the name. A large garden table enables outside dining into the late evening depending on the time of year. There is parking for 3 cars.

The Brittany region

The climate is usually a few degrees warmer than the South West of England. Sometimes likened to Cornwall in the UK for its scenery. Places of interest are Pont Aven, Concarneau, Vannes and Quimper.

Moelan sur Mer

Local markets are fun. Cycling, river and coastal walking are abundant. Some good shopping at Quimper along with a beautiful cathedral and idyllic riverside restaurants and boat rides at Pont Aven - a haven for art lovers (and home-made biscuits).

"Beautiful big house in large garden"

We had a lovely holiday at Maison Camelia. It was very spacious and comfortable and very well equipped. The garden was brilliant for the children and for BBQing in the evening. Quite a way from the beach and set back from a busy road but well placed to explore. Owners very helpful and were able to quickly sort out problems, despite being in the UK. Conservatory was a great place to sit and read whilst sampling the local vino.
