Hope Cottage has been tastefully furnished in modern style whilst retaining the stone features and character of this delightful property. The private enclosed courtyard is ideal for barbecues and relaxing in the sun. The front entrance leads into the attractive living room with comfy sofas, dining area and open plan fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one with full sized bunk beds. Bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

This lovely 18th century country estate has been beautifully restored to provide top quality self-catering accommodation with a range of superb facilities , located in an unspoilt green valley in the heart of the South Hams.
On the Colmer Country Estate guests can enjoy 28 acres of private grounds, including woodland, wild flower meadows, a walled orchard, and a wealth of facilities:

All in all, there is something here for everyone, and plenty of quiet corners to just sit and enjoy this beautiful spot – if you are lucky you may encounter some of the wildlife here.
Although in a quiet rural area there is a garage and a shop selling essential provisions and a pub just 300 metres from Colmer. All the major supermarkets provide a delivery service to Colmer Estate.
Colmer is ideally placed for exploring South Devon – the nearest beaches are Bigbury, Bantham and Thurlestone, and numerous sandy coves dotted in between. Kingsbridge, at the heart of South Hams, is about 6 miles drive, and has a interesting mix of small shops and restaurants, along with boating activities including cruises down the estuary to Salcombe, a popular sailing mecca with real 'Mediterranean' atmosphere. Shopping in Dartmouth and Totnes, walking or riding on the tors of Dartmouth, enjoying a pint of real ale and good food at one of the many country inns, enjoying the spring flowers and autumn colours – there are endless opportunities for all ages.
Some of the Beaches - South Devon has some of the finest beaches and tiny coves to be found anywhere as well as the national park of Dartmoor, excellent golf courses, a good choice of good pubs and restaurants, many small villages with quaint shops, miles of coastal paths, something for the whole family to enjoy.

Travelled with grandchildren for family christening. Booker cottage for convenience as much as anything, just right everything worked ok, good order throughout… More
