The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region

Dubrovnik is not far and is well worth a visit; it was completed in the 13th Century and remains virtually unchanged to the present day. The old town is stunning with its marble paved streets, wonderful architecture and vibrant bars, restaurants and street cafes

The Elafit islands lay just west of Dubrovnik and are part of the Dubrovnik archipelago. The Elafiti (Greek for: stag islands) are closely tied to Dubrovnik and its history. Regular boat trips run from Mlini and Dubrovnik. The Elafit islands include the islands Sipan, Lopud, and Kolocep.

Cavtat is a very popular resort which can also be reached by bus or boat - it is just 10 minutes along the coast and it is well worth spending a day there.

Mlini

The hamlet of Mlini is a charming fishing village. It is sheltered by high mountains and nestles amongst pine trees, cypresses, olive and orange groves. The name of Mlini was derived from the old watermill and stream in its centre. It has a peaceful harbour and beautiful shoreline. The old stone houses add to the charm of the area. There are numerous taverns, restaurants and café bars.

Mlini has a sandy beach and a number of small pretty bays with pebble beaches. The sea is exceptionally clean and there is a wide range of water sports available just 50 metres from the villa.

"Great quiet location with good views of sea - but many steps for access."

My wife and I stayed for a week. Great for 2 - 4 would be a push - 6 would not fit. Good location with restaurants within walking distance 20 min drive from airport. Set on the side of a hill so man… More
