About the home

In the middle of Austria's biggest ski and golf region, with excellent restaurants and bars and a family friendly nightlife.

Golf
Mittersill has a superb 18 hole par 70 golf course in the village which boasts water on every hole, superb course condition is guaranteed. Excellent driving range and lessons can also booked to improve your game. Don't leave without trying the first class service and food in the 19th hole. Zell am See also has 2 course's as well as Kitzbuhel within 20 minutes drive along with many others, too many to list within a short drive from your accommodation all set within the stunning Austrian Alps.

Skiing
The world famous Kitzbuhler Alps with 150kms of groomed piste are on your doorstep. Ski bus stop 100 meters from the front door to the brand new Panorama Alm Ski lift or by 5 mins in the car. Next is the Wildkogel Ski Arena 10 mins drive away, excellent family area with 55kms of piste. 20mins drive away is the Zell am See/Kaprun Glacier ski area 130kms and SUMMER SKIING on the Glacier, 40mins drive is the Gerlos/Super Zillertal Ski Arena with another 160kms of piste, All these and many other areas can be skied on the Salzburg Super Ski Card which can be bought at the local lift station along with Ski equipment rental.

All bookings require full payment 2 Months prior to arrival date.
There is also a local tourism Tax payable in addition to your booking £1 per night per person over 15 years

We stayed at Apartment Stefanie in August 2006. It is a very spacious well-equipped apartment with a large veranda area ideal for sitting and relaxing with a book and a beer! The view from the bedroom windows is amazing!

Mittersill is a lovely little village, very picturesque with a nice square in the centre where they sometimes hold a market. There are plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the apartment; Das Local (Dave check spelling) is very relaxed and offers reasonably priced home cooked food, and the Mulinger Tavern (Spelling?) just across from the square is somewhere to visit for a friendly welcome and a meal that’s a little bit more special.

There are lots of beautiful places to visit that aren’t too much of a drive but don’t miss the waterfalls at Krimml, and the ice caves at Werfen. We couldn’t fit everything in last year and so have booked another week at Apartment Stefanie this coming August, when we hope to find time to visit Saltsburg.

Would we recommend the apartment? Absolutely.
