"Lovely quiet and time to reflect"
I stayed here with mates and it was fab. I was looking to relax and have some down time. We did have kids with us and they loved the pool so much they hardly got out! Mirepoix is lovely and some nice places to eat.

"Shabby chic holiday home"
We had a lovely holiday in this house. The owner and the local friend who grants access were both super-friendly and helpful. The house is in a hamlet (the neighbouring houses and gardens are very close by) but it is driving distance to all amenities - it's several miles even to the local bakery, so bear this in mind if you like to stroll for your morning baguette or evening meal! The house is charming and certainly historic. It's comfortable and clean. The furnishings and furniture are rustic and some are a little worn. The pool is large and very well-maintained but even in early July our kids found it cold as it's not heated. The washing machine malfunctioned while we were there, but the local contact fixed it that day. Bikes were also provided for us, including childrens' bike and seat. The countryside location means that there's no wifi (and very limited phone reception) plus plenty of flies, ants nests in the lawn etc. It takes well over an hour to get to the closest beach, but there is a lake about half an hour away where you can swim (but the beach is tiny). The house can feel chilly which is great on a hot day, but not so good in the evenings or if it's rainy - although there's a working log fire and plenty of wood.
