Exceptionally well equipped and set in grounds bordered by a small river.
Set in a tranquil time-honoured village yet only 10 minutes drive from the auto route.
Sand seekers can find our local beaches just 40 minutes away.
Fishing is available from our own banks on the adjoining sparkling river.
For the explorers we are less than an hour away from Bordeaux, Cognac, Champagne, Saintes and the glorious beaches of Royan. No shortage of quiet relaxation or all the activity sought after locally.

Sleeps 12 adults + cot. Conservatory for extra space and comfort with an adjoining private garden bathed in sun throughout the day. 5 bedrooms, 2 en suites and 2 bathrooms provide convenience and privacy. Spacious fully kitted kitchen including ice machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and custom oak table to seat everybody. Grand salon with comfortable seating, satellite tv and open log fire complimented by a peaceful reading room.

Large (15m x 6m) heated pool and BBQ area with outside kitchen all set in its own secure enclosed garden with lockable gate and pool alarms for complete peace of mind.
Plenty of parasols and outdoor seating throughout the grounds is provided.
Our own playing field provides ideal space for football, cricket, rounders volleyball and all games of fun.
Also on the property is a games room containing among other games a pool table, table football and mountain bikes.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Charente Maritime region

The area is the centre of the French Oyster industry and you are also a short drive away from Cognac, both of whom encourage the public to come and visit and see how they produce their world famous products and of course you can sample these delights. We must not forget the surrounding wine Chateaux who would also love you to visit them.

The Mirambeau area

St. Hilaire du Bois is only 20 mins from the Gironde estuary, which is a nature reserve. Meschers 24 miles away, the beginning of 15 kilometers of beautiful beaches which are cleaned daily, whilst Royan, an hour away a favourite with Parisians, offers many amenities, including the opportunity to engage in all water sports.
La Rochelle is only second to Paris for the number of visitors per year. This beautiful city has much to offer you including boat trips to various islands and around the famous Fort Boyard. The excellent Aquarium is definitely a "must see", and one is definitely spoilt for choice as to restaurants.
For those who enjoy Mountain Biking or rambling there are many routes of varying lengths in the area which take you through forests and picturesque villages, whilst those who want to simply wind down can relax in the pleasant gardens, play volley ball by the river, contest a game of (babyfoot) or enjoy the beautiful pool in its garden setting.
