The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region

Situated north of Aix-en-Provence, the Luberon Regional Natural Park enjoys magnificent sun-drenched landscapes under vast Provençal blue skies. It is an ideal location from which to visit Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Orange and the multitude of picturesque hilltop villages. Places of interest range from the Pont du Gard and Roman remains in the Rhône valley, through to 12th century monasteries at Sénanque and Silvacane, the rocky Montagne Sainte Victoire, the Fontaine de Vaucluse etc.
The local Côtes du Luberon wines are excellent in both quality and value, and the producers are always keen to provide free tastings and visits of their property. The region is famous for its cuisine based on the extremely varied Provençal produce.
The Mirabeau area
Mirabeau is a small, unspoilt scenic village which featured in the "Manon des Sources" film,
Local shops are 5 km away from the property in Mirabeau. The small town of Pertuis, 8 km away, provides all shopping facilities as well as restaurants etc.
Local provençal markets are held in Pertuis, La Tour d'Aigues and of course Aix en Provence.
It is well situated for the summer music and opera festivals at Aix-en-Provence, Orange, La Roque d'Antheron...
