The village of Peyriac is situated amongst the beautiful Minervois vineyards, nestling in the foothills of the Black Mountains, only 20 minutes from Carcassonne and 50 minutes to the Mediterranean coast. Nearby is the famous Canal du Midi, and there are many interesting Cather sites to be visited. There are also three excellent swimming lakes nearby.
The house comprises two large bedrooms, one with double bed, one with twin beds, bathroom with shower and fitted cabinets, dressing room with large wardrobe and cupboard space. Both bedrooms are fully furnished with wardrobes, etc. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and armchair, side tables and a television. The spacious kitchen is fully fitted, with fridge-freezer, microwave and gas cooker with electric oven. There is a table and four chairs. There is a small private garden with barbecue area and parking space, a shed, terrace and inner courtyard.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region
The village of Peyriac is conveniently situated 20 minutes from Carcassonne and its famous medieval City, and the famous Mediterranean beaches are only 50 minutes' drive away. It has a lot of amenities such as a local supermarket, two bakers, a lively cafe and very good swimming pool. It is in the heart of Cathar country, close to Lastours and the medieval city of Minerve.
The famous Canal du Midi runs alongside the main road from Peyriac to Carcassonne, and offers the chance to explore this region by boat.
Minervois / Peyriac Minervois area
There are some excellent local restaurants and plenty of vineyards selling first class wine. There are three very good swimming lakes close by, one near to Carcassonne, and one in the Black Mountains, all under 30 minutes' drive away. The local Lac de Jouarres has a thriving population of windsurfers, dinghy and catamaran sailers.
There a a lot of summer festivals in this area. Peyriac holds a music festival at the beginning of August, and there are concerts throughout the summer at nearby Caunes, held in the picturesque Abbey. There are also lots of local markets to explore and the occasional vide grenier (French equivalent of car boot sales!).

Fly Ryanair to Carcassonne, Peyriac-Minervois is just 20 minutes from the airport.

Further details indoors: The house is very comfortably furnished to a high standard with all furniture brand new. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is a dining area both inside and outside. For winter lets, there is central heating with a brand new boiler. The upstairs bedrooms are very characterful, the twin room having a marble fireplace and wooden floor. All windows are double glazed and shuttered. The bathroom has a shower and wash basin, with fitted cupboards.
Further details outdoors: The attractive garden is very private and quiet and has its own stone built barbecue and covered area with large patio for dining out, external shower, and secure off street parking There is a lovely upper terrace with rose garden with a door leading into the upstairs rooms.
