Miltown Malbay / Spanish Point area
Situated on the west coast of County Clare in Ireland, the village of Spanish Point takes its name from the Spaniards who died there in 1588 when the Armada was wrecked during stormy weather. Today, the village consists of many holiday homes, several pubs – some of which offer live Irish music - a lovely beach which is popular amongst swimmers and surfers, and a nine-hole golf course - one of the oldest in Ireland. Just three miles away is the small town of Miltown Malbay, providing a selection of shops and pubs, whilst the seaside town of Lahinch is also close by. Visitors can enjoy the Cliffs of Moher - located to the north of Lahinch - which offer superb views of the North Atlantic and the Aran Islands in clear weather.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Although the weather was rainy (what else is new...) we experienced Ireland at its best. Very friendly people, spectacular sightseeing, delicious food etc. The Cottage was nice and cosy and we were very well looked after by the owners next door. So it was perfect. This was our first trip to Ireland and this was the perfect location. The views from this house are truly amazing and the accommodations were perfect for us.
