The West Country region
Dorset is one of the sunniest places in the country and benefits from less rainfall than nearby Devon and Cornwall.
The county has been recognised for its scenery as over half the county has been designated an "AONB" and it is the home of England's first World Heritage Site. With the 95 miles of Jurassic coast line with its 185 million year old fossils.
The Mouse House is situated on the edge of the village about 2 miles from the popular thatched village of Milton Abbas. Located in the middle of Dorset it is ideally suited to those wanting to explore the rural county and the Jurassic coast. The famous coastal attractions of Lulworth Cove, Ringstead Beach and Durdle Door are only about 16 miles away as is the larger town of Poole. Slightly further afield are Weymouth at about 19 miles and Chesil Beach at 22 miles.
In the famous chalk land Cerne Abbas and the Chalk Man is only 13 miles from this holiday retreat.
With the Olympic games coming to the county it would suit those wanting to visit Weymouth and Portland who are hosting both the Olympic and Para Olympic sailing competitions.
For Shoppers, well known places such as Bournemouth, Salisbury with its popular Cathedral and Shaftsbury where the Hovis advert was filmed are nearby. All have a good selection of shops to meet all tastes and budgets.
