About the home

Our apartment, which was entirely restored in 2008, has been carefully furnished with attention to detail, with a view to making your stay pleasurable. It is located in the centre of Milan, near to the well-known Corso Como and the new district of Isola, which is fast becoming a new centre of culture and tourism, including alternative cultural attractions, many of which are dedicated to photography, art and new developments.

The area is vibrant, full of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. In 10-15 minutes one can reach the centre (Duomo, Via Montenapoleone, La Scala) on the metro (yellow line) or by tram. The nearest tram stop is opposite the house, while Zara metro station is 5 minutes by foot.”

The Lombardy / Milano/Monza region

Lombardy is a region in the northern part of Italy. It is the most populated region of the country, and has almost 9.4 million people. The capital is Milan. In the north of Lombardy there are very high mountains, (40% of the territory is mountains) the highest mountains are almost 4.000 meters in the Bernina Range.

In the south of the region flows the Po river, which is the longest river in Italy. The most important rivers are the Adda river, the Mincio and the Ticino river, all of them end in the Po river.

There are also a lot of lakes, the largest are Lake Maggiore, Lake Varese, Lake Como, and Lake Garda.

The Milan area

Milan is renowned as one of the world capitals of design and fashion.The English word millinery, referring to women's hats, is derived from the name of the city. The Lombard metropolis is famous for its fashion houses and shops (such as along via Montenapoleone) and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in the Piazza Duomo (reputed to be the world's oldest shopping mall).
