About the home

Beautiful, very luminous, refurbished studio loft sleeping 2/3 people comfortably on 2 levels in Milan's lively canal district available for short lets (min 3 nights max 2/3 weeks).

Lounge with sofabed, modern kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, shower room with washing machine. Upper level, reading/relax area, double bed, fully fitted wardrobes. All brand new furnishings. A/C and heating included.

Apartment in a traditional Milanese apartment block with doorman service.

Supermarket, chemist, bar, restaurants, clothes shops all within 5 minutes walk. Near metro (Romolo on green line) and tram stop.

This flat is a great alternative to staying in a hotel if you want to sample the real Milan

The apartment is located in a traditional Milanese turn of the century apartment block with a communal courtyard access to apartments. It has a really homely feel and you will feel a part of the local community during your stay rather than a tourist.

The Lombardy / Milano/Monza region

Milan sits on the "Padana" plain in the shadow of the Alps. Hot and humid in the summer, cold and damp in the winter. The second largest city in Italy after Rome with 2.5 million population. It has a beautiful medieval city centre and lot to see and do for the tourist. Lombary region is accessible from Milan by train or car. Lake Como and Lake Maggiore are definitely recommended to visit.

“Absolutely perfect.” We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was in a lovely building with a beautiful central garden in a really hip area of Milan, Navigli. It was perfect for us and our thirteen year old. Really quiet, spotlessly clean and fully equipped. Exactly like the photos. David could not have been nicer or more attentive. He emailed me a response within a couple of hours, kept in touch until our arrival date, and was right there waiting for us when we got to the address. I highly recommend renting the flat. Note: Don´t miss the Naviglia Grande up the street and around the corner and the numerous "Happy Hours", including buffet, all along the canal in the evening. Talk about a vibrant atmosphere... even just taking a walk at night was fun. I have been to Milan several times but always seemed to miss this unique, historic area.

“excellent place to stay” We stayed at this nice little apartment Oct 2-7. It was nice and clean, nice to make some of our own meals and ice cubes. We did our laundry. Good location short walk to metro and buses. David was helpful if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this place and wish I had other places like it for the rest of our trip. the only trick we had was to contact David when we got there since we had no phone, but someone helpful at the bar on the corner called him for us and he met us right away. would not be suitable for people with physical handicaps. I did not put photo it was just like the photos listed

“This apartment was a home away from Home.” At first the area looked quite rough with grafitti everywhere and untidy streets. David assured us that it was very safe and he was right. The area is the bar and nightclub area and we felt totally safe at any hour of the day or night. The complex was very secure and the apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equiped and David was an excellent host and was on hand if any problems arose (which they didn't). It was in walking distance of many bars and entertainment places which we inhabited every night. There is a pub on the corner with a supermarket next door to it. A 10 minute walk to catch trams into the centre of Milan and also a 15 minute walk to the Metro. If I were to return to Milan I would definitely stay here. Tip - buy a 3 day travel pass

“Lovely, luxury apartment on the Milanese canals” The ultimate "live like a local" experience. David & Gianluca have turned this nice 2 story apartment in a true vacation home. We stayed here several times and it's perfect. A nice walk to the Piazza Duomo through shopping streets. When lazy, you just take the tram. At night you can choose from many excellent restaurants at the canals. David & Gianluca will give you all the insights on Italian life. And above all, they are great hosts.

“A well-equipped, homely and clean base in Milan, which lived up to our expectations” We were very warmly and personally welcomed - the accomodation was surprisingly roomy and spacious and very tastefully decorated. Thought had obviously been put into making this a comfortable and fully furnished home base for the visitor to Milan. Within walking distance to the centre, where all tourist attractions, shops, restaurants are available, yet set in a quite courtyard, off the road leading to the town centre. A wonderfully quite retreat after a busy day out and about!
