The Lombardy region

Lombardy is a region in the northern part of Italy. It is the most populated region of the country, and has almost 9.4 million people. In the north of Lombardy there are very high mountains, (40% of the territory is mountains) the highest mountains are almost 4.000 meters in the Bernina Range.

In the south of the region flows the Po river, which is the longest river in Italy. The most important rivers are Adda, Mincio and Ticino, all of them end in the Po.

There are also a lot of lakes, the largest are Maggiore Lake, Como Lake, Lecco Lake and Garda Lake.

The capital is Milan, the main economic and financial center of Italy and with more hainhabitants (4.3 million pop.). Milan is well connected to other cities of Lombardy and other Italian cities, thanks to an extensive railway network. It 's possible spent a day in the beautiful city of Venice, Verona, Mantua, Turin, Genoa, or reach the main city of the lakes mentioned above

Lomardy, besides being an industrialize, economic and financial center, thank to the soil is very fertile Po Valley has prompted the development of highly profitable agriculture, which uses advanced cultivation. There are the main crops of cereals, fruits, vegetables, wine grapes and fodder. Breeding is focused on cattle and pigs, with all products (milk, butter, cheese, meat).

The industry has developed in all major sectors, particularly those metal, steel, textile, chemical, petrochemical, food, publishing, footwear and furniture.

The apartment is on the 3 floor of an elegant building, with elevator, in a quiet street in downtown of Milan. In fact, after a few steps you are in the magic and color of turin street, one of the most important shopping and nightlife street of downtown. This popular route lead, from one side, to discover the heart of Milan, the Duomo, the Sforzesco Castle, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the other side to know another part of the city, as beautiful and fascinating, the columns of San Lorenzo, corso di porta Ticinese and Navigli area.

The strategic location of the apartment allow to visit these places on foot or by public transport that you can easily find along the way. Also, thanks to closeness of underground, stop Duomo, you can take the red and yellow line, to contend a new work day or to go to the fair in Rho for an unpredictable and arduous day of the exhibition.

"Sleepless nights in Milan"

I'm afraid that it is with regret that I have to write such a horrible review as the owner Claudia is very nice, the apartment is decorated to a reasonable standard and has everything you require. The location is also very central, close to the underground, the shops and Cathedral.

The downside - I'm afraid I would not recommend that anyone stays in this apartment unless you are extremely hard of hearing.

For the 2 nights we had everything thrown at us in the noise department. Neighbours laughing until 4 or 5 in the morning, the tram sounded as if it was coming through the room, yelling in the street (the main road) until 4 -5 in the morning, cars honking, I'm not sure but I think the underground is close but with all the other noise it was hard to tell if it was the train or tram. Drunks yelling on both nights, the neighbour yelling at them from the window, police sirens and 2 stroke mopeds rattling by. It was a noise cocktail that was only missing rocket launches and planes landing. The road is a sound trap and most of this noise is from the main road 10 metres away.

This was the bedroom from hell. I live in central London on a fairly main road so we are used to a certain level of noise from the restaurants and bars, traffic and sirens. However, this was on a different level. You could not sleep in this room and as a result I think I was lucky if I got 4 hours over the 2 nights. Needless to say we were exhausted on our return to London and it left me grumpy and run down. To top this off we stayed on the busiest weekend of the year and were charged over double. I can't blame Claudia for this but hope she reads this review and puts the money towards double or triple glazing or returns it to us.

I would like my money back as I feel extremely ripped off. Will not be going back and will bite the bullet and stay in a 5 star hotel next time.

This gets my lowest ever review and it is deserved.

"Nice and cozy spot right in the city center"

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Milanapart flat 302 for a week and both of us couldn't be happier about our choice. First off, the location is absolutely terrific. It's literally a few steps away from shopping street Via Torino and stone's throw away from Duomo cathedral. Subway is around the corner and there's also a nice supermarket and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment is located at a quiet sidestreet which means no street noises or Friday night street action :) We can't complain about the neighbors either, we simply never heard them. The apartment is bright, spaceous enough for up to 4 people and well-equipped both on kitchen and bath levels. The wardrobe has enough space for your luggage and your shopping. The apartment also has a nice flatscreen TV, satellite and fast WiFi. There's everything you're possibly going to need. It's literally like you're still home but the city around it is Milan :) The flat is perfectly clean and the bed is incredibly comfortable. There's a lift in the building so you're not going to have to haul your luggage up and down the stairs. Milanapart manager Claudia is very friendly, extremely helpful and easy to reach both by phone or email. It has always been a pleasure to talk to her. Overall the place has a perfect price/value rate and I would most definitely recommend it to my friends.
