About the home
Spacious, fully equipped, air conditioned, 3 bedroom house on a small quiet development of terracotta houses with shared pool. The house has a large open plan lounge with dining area and a breakfast kitchen. Patio doors lead from the lounge to the pretty enclosed south facing terrace where it is possible to eat al fresco most of the year. On the first floor are three spacious bedrooms with built in wardrobes, a master bedroom with en suite and two further twin bedded rooms and family bathroom. On the roof you will find a laundry room and private sun bathing area with great views of the surrounding Andalucian countryside.
Our house is a five minute walk from the beautiful and tranquil Lew Hoad Tennis Club with its first class tennis facilities, excellent old farmhouse restaurant/bar with free wi-fi, pool and gym facilities, all open to the public. It is also within walking distance of a some recommended Spanish restaurants. There is Lidl supermarket nearby - 30 minutes walk, 5 mins drive. A regular bus runs from just outside the development up to the picturesque Andalucian mountainside white village of Mijas Pueblo with its panoramic views over the Costa del Sol (10 minutes) or down to the typically Spanish bustling seaside resort of Fuengirola with its bars,restaurants,shops and long sandy beaches.
Our house is also an ideal base for exploring the Costa del Sol being within easy reach by car, bus or train of many places of interest such as Marbella, Puerto Banus, Ronda, Granada, or even Gibraltar to visit the apes and do some tax-free shopping.

Jardines del Tenis is adjacent to the Lew Hoad Campo de Tenis y Padel which is open to the public. It was originally set up by former Austrailian Wimbledon Champion, Lew Hoad. The club, which is set in the grounds of an old Andalucian country estate has 8 superb tennis courts, paddel courts, swimming pool, gym and an excellent bar/restaurant in the old farmhouse. 1. The house is let on a self-catering basis.
2. All lets are from 3 p.m. on the day of your arrival to 10 a.m. on the day of your departure. Please vacate the house by 10.00 am.
3. Bedlinen, towels and tea towels and cleaning materials are provided, together with complimentary starter toilet rolls, dish cloths and bin liners.
4. The development swimming pool can be used by visitors at their own risk.
4. All prices include electricity, water and gas, and the service of a house maid on the last morning of your stay to clean the accommodation and change the linen and towels.
1. The owners, their employees, agents or contractors shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage to person or property sustained by any person arising from or in connection with any letting, whether or not directly or indirectly caused by the act, default, negligence or omission or otherwise of the owners, their employees, agents or invitees. The tenants shall indemnify the owners against all actions, liability, claims, costs and expenses arising from or in connection with their letting.
2. Children must be supervised around and in the pool at all times.
A 25% deposit is payable on booking and the balance together with a refundable damages deposit (separate cheque for £200), is due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holidays.
Cancellation of a booking renders you liable, at the owners discretion, to loss of the rent if no later booking for the same period is made. You are advised to arrange your own insurance to cover against unavoidable cancellation, losses, medical expenses or injury to person or property during the holiday.
The Costa del Sol region
The Costa Del Sol, "The Sun Coast" is the most visited part of the Andalucian Coastline with its warm climate (average of over 300 sunny days a year) it is an ideal holiday destination anytime of year. Whether you are looking for a relaxing or more active holiday, the Costa del Sol has something for everyone. It has long sandy beaches, restaurants to suit every taste, a lively nightlife and pretty white mountainside villages.
The Mijas area
Jardines del Tenis is great location for a holiday on the Costa del Sol. Situated just off the Ctra de Mijas, the road between Mijas and Fuengirolal it is only 20 mins drive from Malaga Airport.
About 2 kms down the road is the town of Fuengirola, once a quaint little fishing village – but no more! Today Fuengirola is a bustling holiday resort with miles of sandy beach and lots to do. If you want to take a break from the peace and quiet of Jardines del Tennis, here you will find a place buzzing with restaurants, bars and night life where the spanish like to party.
Just up the road from Jardines del Tennis you can sample the other side of Spain. Four kilometres away is the stunningly beautiful village of Mijas, a white village perched up high in the mountains. The views from and around Mijas are breathtaking and there are lots of shops in which to buy souvenirs and presents. Be sure to take a ride around the village on one of the special donkey taxis while you’re there!
If you fancy a round of golf during your stay, there are a host of courses to choose from. Within 20 minutes drive are six championship courses (Mijas, Miraflores, La Cala, Alhaurin, Torrequebrada, Lauro Golf) and if you want to venture a little further, there is Valderrama, the Ryder Cup venue, about ¾ hour from the Village.
There are numerous attractions and amusements for you to visit in this area. Tivoli World is a vast entertainment park with live acts and theatre. From here you can also catch the cable car to the top of the mountains nearby. Mijas Aquapark is also a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Selwo Safari Park is a wild life park where you can walk through, not just drive through, to experience the animals (be quiet near the lions and tigers!). Fuengirola has it’s own Zoo – recently redesigned and revamped, and has opened to great accolades and plaudits from the public and press! Finally, in Benalmadena is the fantastic aquarium, Sea Life, where it’s possible to walk under the water as sharks swim overhead!
Jardines del Tennis makes a good base for sightseeing too. If you want to, you can take time out to visit some of the sights of historic Andalucia, with Ronda, Granada and Seville all within striking distance. Gibraltar is also easily accessible by the new motorway; a fascination for all Brits. Day trips to Africa are also popular, but be prepared to barter for your souvenirs.
Shopping is no problem either. A small shopping centre with a very nice Danish delicatessen is 5 minutes walk from the development. There is a small supermarket – 15 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by bus or car. A big supermarket, Euromarket, is 10 minutes away by car or taxi and then there is The Myramar Shopping Centre, with a large Eroski supermarket and enough shops and stores to satisfy the keenest shopaholic!

Fly to Malaga - Jardines del Tenis is just a 15 min car journey from the airport.
Cheap flights from most major UK airports are available from budget airlines such as easyjet, bmibaby, thomson and monarch.
Car hire is available from many local companies although we use carjet.co.uk, a well organised broker.
Arrangements can also be made for our managers to collect you from the airport.
Alternatively you can take the regular train service from the airport to Fuengirola and then take a bus or taxi up to the house
Directions by car from Malaga Airport :-
There is only one way to exit the airport. The road takes you right to a roundabout where you go straight ahead to CADIZ.
Stay in the right hand lane of the dual carriageway and after about 300 yards take the slip road on the right to CADIZ and TORREMOLINOS/ALGECIRAS A7.
After approximately 2 miles take the right turning signposted to BENALMADENA AND ALGECIRAS A7 (the main motorway south).
Continue on the A7 motorway for approximately 10 miles. You will notice that each exit is marked with a kilometre number e.g. km233. Just as you see the signs indicating that the motorway is to become a toll road (AP7) take the exit marked km214 to FUENGIROLA A7 and then another right turning/filter signposted A387 to MIJAS km213. Keep right until you emerge at a roundabout where you turn right onto the A387 to MIJAS.
Turn immediately right off the A387, and keep left towards the Lew Hoad Tenis Club. Jardines del Tenis is the small development of terracota houses immediately on your right.

This town house is on a small private estate a short drive from the village of Mijas. The accommodation consists of three comfortable bedrooms with excellent air conditioning, a must in July. The house is equipped wth everything you would want including wi-fi, a must for most 18 and 22 year olds. We felt totally relaxed here, the lounge is spacious and comfortable and the small patio ideal for early morning breakfast or supper in the evening. The pool is a two minute walk away and even in July you can often be the only one in it. The location is also good for travelling further a field, just a short journey from the main roads. I would definately recommend this property, great value for money and you can really feel at home.

This is the third year we have stayed at Casa Susana and, as usual, everything was perfect. We play in an annual tournament at Lew Hoad tennis club and can therefore walk to the matches and return as we please. It is far superior to the flats on the Lew Hoad complex and all our friends are very envious of our accommodation. It is perfectly clean, all mod cons, spacious kitchen fully equipped, lovely garden for sitting in the sun, aircon in all rooms, just ideal for us 3 ladies. We just hope we can have it again for the same week next year! Thank you Sue and Charles.

We have availed of holidaylettings.co.uk before and have never had a bad or dissapointing experience.
Our latest holiday was no exception.
The aim of our holiday was to find a location which offered sunshine,comfortable and relaxing accomodation, self catering (for the occasions when we simply wanted to relax and do virtually nothing), close-by locations of cultural/historical interest, vibrant holiday atmosphere and of course plenty of good restaurants.
Having gone through the holiday lettings properties, we soon found what we hoped was just the right place - Jardines del tennis - Mijas - spain.
From the booking procedure to the end of our holiday stay we experienced all and more that we had hoped for.
The accomodation was first class, with everything that we could have desired.
Beautiful garden with patio, eating area and plenty of room to simply soak up the sun on the provided sun loungers.
The house had an excellent and comfortable interior with all mod cons.
We even had the facility of wireless internet, which the property owner made readily available to us by providing his personal connection password.
Each of the rooms (including three large bedrooms) were perfectly clean and hygenic and equally as good as a five star hotel.
This property is clearly designed for long term stays, with every comfort catered for.
It is located at the foot of the beautiful mountain town of Mijas, with easy access to just about every one of the well known and popular southern Spain resorts, but located in a quiet and easily accessible residential area of Mijas.
Without the use of a car, there are local places which can be reached within walking distance (a few restaurants and bars) and a regular bus service to the towns of Mijas and Fuengirola (about 10-15 mins journey).
However, with the added advantage of a hired car, this location is absolutely perfect for visits to just about all of the popular resorts of Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Nerja and even Gibraltar.
Driving distances are, Fuengirola - about 12 mins, Torremolinos - about 15 mins and Gibraltar - about 60 mins.
This was the best holiday that we have had, weather, scenery, food, accomodation - fun!
We have no reason to even consider looking elsewhere when we book our next holiday.
