The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

A typically warm and temparate Meditterranean climate. Long, hot summers and warm dry winters.There is about 320 days of sunshine per year. Temperatures rising to 39 degrees centigrade in the height of the summer to about 19/20 dgrees in the winter months.
The Costa del Sol has much to offer everyone, from the miles and miles of endless beaches to the charming white villages of "Inland Andalucia" which is only a matter of a few kms from the coast, for example villages like Mijas, Ronda, Gaucin, Alora are all only a short drive away. Visit the lakes of El Chorro, with its´ turqoise blue waters, and background of green pinetree forests., making this a very special place to visit.
Close by are the fascinating and historical cities of Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Jerez and Seville. Just 20 minutes to Marbella and the famous nighlife of Puerto Banus! Winter skiing at Sierra Nevada is just 90 minutes away by road. There are also around 60 Golf courses nearby., many of which are only 5 minutes away.

Mijas area

Mijas Village is only a few minutes drive from the villa, here you can feel the "real Spain" and soak in the Spanish atmosphere, with its¨ cobbled narrow winding streets and typical white village houses. There are many artesan shops, plenty of cafes and restaurants, all open to quite late at night, making it ideal to vist at any time of the day. You can take a ride on the famous donkeys. Mijas has many different fiestas on at various times of the year.

The beaches and nightlife of the Costa Del Sol are close by, there are plenty of local markets and shopping malls. there is much to do for all ages and interests. The town of Fuengirola is only 5 minutes away. This popular seaside town has a huge Tuesday market, a beautiful, newly restored town square and much improved shopping facilities. Ferias and Fiestas are great fun to visit and the townspeople all tend to join in and support these events. Live music and local celebrations are a common feature of the town and also nearby Mijas Pueblo. Fuengirola now has many tapas bars, where you can sample on taster portions the local dishes. We take many of our visitng friends on a "tapas trail" where we tour several different bars sampling the different dishes and local wines.

La Cala de Mijas is another village close by, where there are wonderful sandy beaches and many chirinquito restaurants on the beach. Wednesday and Saturday are the days of the local market.

Cabopino - also close by, this is a small harbour for private boats and yachts. there are several restaurants in front of the harbour, plus many chirinquitos on the beach, again, very nice soft sand beaches and safe for children

Nightlife - if you are seeking nightlife, then there is plenty do do on the Costa del Sol - Fuengirola, Marbella and Puerto Banus are probably the best choices, where there are an abundance of clubs, bars, discos. Not to mention the famous "Nkki Beach", which is situated between Fuengirola and Marbella.

How to get there

Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar. We are only 20 minutes from Malaga Airport.
Cheap flights regularly available from all major carriers, especially EasyJet, Monarch, RyanAir, FlyBe and more.

Numerous car hire companies, mostly based at Malaga Airport, most can be booked on line including www.carjet.com. Crown car Hire, Hertz and many more.

Buses run from the Airport all the time and taxis cost around 30 Euros. We do recommend that a Hire car be chosen for best choice and convenience.

The villa which is built in rustic style has high beamed ceilings in the lounge/dining area and one of the bedrooms. There is a fireplace in the lounge, making it very cosy in the winter months. Kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of cooking utensils and tools, there is a toaster, electric kettle, juicer and microwave in addition to the main white goods which are listed.
It is a very charming house with plenty of character, our clients love it!

Large gardens with terraces and a good sized swimming pool. Views of sea and mountains. Plenty of outside dining and seating areas. An excellent purpose built covered BBQ near to the pool. Plenty of secure parking. Private and secluded. Sun loungers situated around pool, the pool has roman style steps, making access easy for children and people with walking difficulties.
The villa benefits from the sun all day, although there are several shady areas. including two very large eucalyptos trees.
In the evening when the sun is going down, is the best time to appreciate the villa, the gardens and pool can then be lit up giving it a very relaxing atmosphere, All the lights from Mijas village can be seen from the poolside garden.

Should anyone require the use of the 3rd emergency bedroom, please advise us in advance in order for the room to be prepared.
If cots or high chairs are required, please advise in advance.

Conditions

Small pets are considered. A breakages/damage deposit of 250 Euros is required. The property will be held only with a booking deposit. Rental must be paid in full at least two months in advance. Refunds will only be given with at least two months notice of cancellation.
