The Andalucia region

The apartment is situated in a peaceful location overlooking Mijas Golf but is just five minutes drive from the Miramar Shopping Centre and 10 minutes drive to the centre of Fuengirola with it's vast range of shops, bars and restaurants and varied nightlife. Local markets are held in town on Wednesday and Sunday mornings.

The Mijas Water Park is also close by and there are many attractions for the kids within driving distance such as Fuengirola Zoo, Tivoli World, Sea Life Centre, Funny Beach and Torremolinos Crocodile Park. There is also a Tree Tops Adventure Park in Elviria.

There are plenty of beaches to choose from - La Cala being the closest and of course the popular beach in Cabopino. Marbella and Puerto Banus are also within easy driving distance with their wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops and of course Orange Square in Marbella Old Town is well worth a visit. The fabulous white villages of Mijas, Ronda and Casares are also easily reachable by car.

Mijas Pueblo

The Costa de Sol can be divided into two sections, with Malaga city at its centre with its top class tapas bars and restaurants and the popular Picasso Museum . The eastern Costa del Sol is much shorter, stretching from the provincial capital as far as Nerja, where it meets the Costa Tropical of Granada province.

The western Costa de Sol is the section of coast which curves round southwards towards Gibraltar, and includes all the major resorts such as Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Estepona.

Estepona is a little more traditional and Spanish than some of the other resorts on the Costa del Sol and the old town is very quaint and picturesque and as it's only 45 minutes drive away, definitely worth a visit.
