Traditional style white painted townhouse (20 years old) in pedestrian cobbled street at the entrance to the village. Accommodation is "upside down" so bedrooms are on ground floor and living room and kitchen on first. Three double doors at first floor open wide to give stunning sea views. Patio at rear with built in BBQ enables totally private sunbathing till about 6 pm! Bedrooms both enjoy en suite bathrooms ( one has a bath and shower) Kitchen newly refitted with new oven hob and dishwasher. Washing machine in patio cupboard. Decent sized, quiet communal pool 1 minute. Communal parking spaces. Choice of 3 restaurants and bar plus "roast chicken" shop just down 3 short flights of steps from house.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Malaga is 20 minutes car drive, with concert halls, the Alcazaba, Parador, Cathedral and wonderful shops. Marbella with its beautiful "old Town" is 20 minutes drive and Puerto Banus with its nightclubs restaurants and harbour is 30 minutes drive.
You can take a trip by car inland to Ronda, Granada (2 hours) or Cordoba and Seville 2 1/2 hours.
Coast/Beach Fuengirola (10 minutes by car) has 9 km of extensive sandy beaches. Nudist beach at Cabopino is 15 minues.
Golf. Mijas is well located for beautiful golf courses. Nearest are in Mijas area 15 minutes drive.
Skiing is available at Sierra Nevada 2 1/2 hours drive.
Mijas Pueblo area
Mijas lies at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas some 428 meters above sea level. It benefits from mountain breezes cooling the air from the year round sunshine. Many artists and writers live here appreciating the green mountainside and views to the coast and the good climate. Mijas Pueblo is a real Spanish village with lots of families living and working here for several generations. During the ferias the whole town turns out to watch parades or concerts in one of the squares or in the little amphitheatre in the botanical gardens. The craft shops offer hand made pottery and often paintings by local artists, such as Don Clarke and Michele Lehmann.
Nearby Fuengirola, just down the hill provides the local town facilities with loads of shops restaurants, nightlife and multiscreen cinemas showing English speaking films. There is even an amateur theatre which puts on excellent productions.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga from many UK airports. Car hire available at Malaga Airport either in terminal or close by. Centauro recommended. Trains available from Malaga airport to Fuengirola then bus or taxi to Mijas pueblo.

Quick and easy access by bus or car to coastal towns of Malaga, Fuengirola, Marbella, Puerto Banus for great shopping and El Corte Ingles store. Blue skies most of the year and warm evening al fresco dining either at home with BBQ on patio or in a fab restaurant only a short walk away or at a beach restaurant.
