A SUPERB AND STYLISH APARTMENT- beautifully furnished with a very large south-facing terrace with inspiring views in the day and at night of the Andalucian coastline, and even the mountains in Africa on clear days. The apartment forms part of a modern, and tranquil complex, enjoying the use of a lovely, private swimming pool which also has fantastic views over the countryside and coast.

BREATHTAKING VIEWS IN NEARLY EVERY ROOM! French windows look out onto the balcony and spectacular scenery from both bedrooms, the lounge and the kitchen.

FANTASTIC FOR FAMILIES- there are a large number of exciting attractions within easy reach of Mijas- including Fuengirola Zoo, Sealife, Selwo Marine, Crocodile Park, Aqualand Water Parks, Selwo Safari, Imax Cinemas, Dolphin and Whale watching sea trips, Wolf Park and many more. QUAINT AND LOVELY MIJAS PUEBLO I S ONLY 7KM FROM THE COAST - the apartment is within a few minutes walk of all amenities of this lovely Moorish Andalucian village. Mijas Pueblo is one of the "Andalucian white villages", with narrow cobbled streets and houses are almost all white washed with colourful plant pots hanging from every possible angle.
Mijas enjoys the benefits of an excellent all year round climate, without being part of the busier, coastal resorts which are only 7 kilometres away down the mountain side.

EASY STROLL TO GREAT BARS AND RESTAURANTS- the closest being 5-10 mins from the apartment, and wide choice of many more excellent places to eat and drink in the centre of the village (10 to 15 mins' stroll) which also offers many lovely Spanish shops, local craft shops and boutiques for a spot of shopping.

STUNNING BEACHES at 15 MINS AWAY- you can take your pick from a coastline studded with them- all with beautiful sands, excellent beach restaurants, bars and facilites.

GOLF HEAVEN- Mijas and the surrounding areas are packed with quality golf courses- there are more than 40 within easy distance of Mijas Pueblo. VERY EASY TO GET TO- Malaga airport can be reached within 20 minutes by road. Excellent public transport and taxi services also make Mijas Pueblo easy to reach. Fuengirola with its excellent shopping facilities and beaches is about 10 to 15 minutes away.

Marbella and Benal Madena both with pretty harbours and excellent nightlife are also within very easy striking distance. Miramar and El Canada shopping centres are state of the art, emporiums for the keep shopper in the area.

EXCELLENT ALL YEAR ROUND CLIMATE- great for Summer and Winter breaks- it's not known as the Costa del Sol for nothing!

GREAT BASE FOR EXLORING ANDALUCIA: whether it´s the coastline or Inland areas such as Ronda, Cordoba & Seville to name a few, Mijas is the perfect focal point. Mijas is 1-1.5 hours from skiing in Sierra Nevada during winter, and 1.5 hours from Tarifa the kite surfing capital. Jerez and Cadiz are also within striking distance for longer day trips.

The Costa del Sol region

The picturesque village nestles on the Sierra de Mijas hills, offering stunning views across the region and over the beautiful coastline. The nearest main town is the Spanish sea-side resort Fuengirola (8km), Malaga airport is 20 mins by car. Mijas retains much "white village" charm, with cobbled, narrow winding streets, dazzling whitewashed walls and breathtaking views.

Mijas is one of the friendliest as well as one of the prettiest pueblos in Spain, and just a stone's throw from some excellent coastal activities and attractions, plus miles of beautiful sandy beaches and coastline.

A settlement is known to have existed in Mijas for many centuries. This has been confirmed by archaeological findings near the 'Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepcion'. This church in the village was completed in the early 18th century and covers the ruins of a Moorish castle that stood from the 8th until the late 15th century. Prior to this the Romans used Mijas, known then as ‘Tamisa’ or ‘Jamisa’ as an important commercial and trading centre as it was close to the road linking Malaga and Cadiz.

The Mijas Pueblo / Barrio area

This charming pueblo has winding roads, quaint alleyways and plenty to entertain visitors of all ages. The village has a population of just 7,500, but there are many excellent restaurants and local bars within 5 to 10 minutes walk of the apartment.

In the centre of the village are botanical gardens, and many small shops with gifts made by local artisans with a large choice of tapas bars and restaurants (including excellent Indian restaurant). You can't help but see the famous Mijas (donkey) taxis around the village every day . The village is ideal for taking an early evening stroll before dinner.

Favourite restaurants are Al Cazabar, Merlot Blanco, Val Paraiso and the Alarcon also there is an excellent choice of tapas bars and restaurants in the village aswell as good Pizza anFish. Try Mijas festival during September and Fuengirola in early October. Look out for the botanical gardens in Mijas.

The building of many Mijas golf courses has attracted foreign tourists from far and wide. Mijas villa rental and luxury golf apartments offer the perfect accommodation for those looking to "tee off" each morning.

Within easy reach of beach, Aqualand, Mijas Aquaparc, Marbella and shopping emporia. Other family attractions include: Sealife, Tivali Gardens, Fuengirola Zoo, Selwell Safari and Marine Parks, Access to many superb golf courses along the coast. 20 minutes from Malaga airport. Great location for festivals in the summer. 1-1.5 hours from skiing in Sierra Nevada during winter.

There is so much available on Mijas everything you need should be on your doorstep. There is no need to rent a car unless you want to explore the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside, coastline and mountains more widely. If you fancy exploring Andalucia whether it´s the coastline or Inland areas such as Ronda, Cordoba & Seville to name a few, Mijas is the perfect focal point.

- 20 to 30 mins from Malaga which features castle, and Picasso museum, also excellent nightlife

Directions from airport:

On leaving Malaga Airport, follow signs for Málaga and CADIZ. The road then divides and you keep to the RIGHT marked CADIZ and ALGECIRAS and filter into another road to the RIGHT again following CADIZ/ALGECIRAS signs. You will then see blue Autopista signs also saying CADIZ/ALGECIRAS and you filter again to the RIGHT. Proceed for about 15 km. The first sign for Mijas and Benalmadena No. 217 should be IGNORED (mountain route to Mijas). After this Benalmadena/Mijas turn off, there are large signs above the road splitting into two major lanes. One is marked Marbella/Estepona for the Toll Road A 7 to the left – do NOT TAKE THIS. Keep to the right and follow N.340 direction FUENGIROLA/MARBELLA/ALGECIRAS. Then keep on the extreme right and take Exit 214 MIJAS then 213. This slip road will bring you to a big roundabout – turn RIGHT here onto the A.387 in the direction of Mijas village – approx. 4 k.m. You proceed uphill passing the VALPARAISO Restaurant on the left, then CLUB PUERTA DEL SOL HOTEL also on the left. At the top of the hill is a ROUNDABOUT and the BP PETROL STATION. Pass the station and stay on the main road to get into the village centre.
