The Andalucia region
It is the most southern of the Spanish Costas with a micro climate protected by the mountains of the Sierra Nevadas and stretches from Almeria in the East to Tarifa in the West. It enjoys 300 days of sunshine throughout the year. The great weather and beautiful sandy beaches with picturesque towns and villages ensure the area remains a popular tourist destination in every season with an array of traditional and modern restaurants and bars.
There are beautiful beaches, water parks, beautiful harbours, ancient villages, casinos, amusement parks and bull fights available or for a more peaceful holiday there are the inland villages of Ronda, Benhavis and the cities of Cordoba, Seville and Grenada with their many exquisite squares, cathedrals, restaurants and tapas bars to explore.
Marbella and the harbour of Puerto Banus are probably the best known resorts on the coast. Often referred to as the Costa del Golf there are more than 50 golf courses on the Costa del Sol. There are various festivals to celebrate from Malaga along the whole coast at different times of the year.
There is a regular bus service every twenty minutes up the hill to Mijas Pueblo is a famous hilltop village with a small church and stunning views of the coast with a number of quaint restaurants, shops and bars squeezed into the hilltop.
The bus service similarly goes down the hill to the beach resort of Fuengirola. There is a large amount of restaurants, various shops, banks and boats available for hire from its old harbour and beautiful beaches.

"A private bit of paradise!"
My partner and I just spent a week in Casa Christina, we had the most relaxing and wonderful time. The villa is massive, ideal for a family holiday or a holiday with friends. Even with 4 adult couples it would still feel spacious. We had breakfast and lunch everyday on the poolside terrace taking in the views from the villa, which are breathtaking and the pictures do not do it justice. Just around the corner within walking distance is the Valparaiso restuarant, with live music and delicious food. There are pictures all over the wall of the famous diners which include the Beckhams!! The surrounding area is stunning, with the beach resort of Fuengirola only a mile away. A mile in the opposite direction is the village of Mijas which is a quaint Andulucian mountain village with breathtaking views over the Costa Del Sol and across to the Atlas mountains in Northern Africa! We were surprised how close we were to Malaga,Marbella and Puerto Banus, all easily within 30 minutes drive. We had a great week and will definitely go back and next time will take family and friends!
