Fantastic large apartment on Sitio del golf in the Costa del Sol. The apartment is in a prime location and is only a few minutes drive from Fuengirolas beaches, attractions and city centre. Unlike some of the newly built complexes, Sitio stands in spacious grounds. This complex and the pools are never crowded. Its 5 large swimming pools (which may have a lifeguard between May and September), and extensive garden areas make it ideal for families, couples and golfers.

There is sufficient street parking or if you prefer you have use of the underground parking space. The extensive tropical gardens run parallel to the Mijas Los Lagos and Los Olivos golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr, with its 18 hole golf course and clubhouse facilities. Both the Hotel Tamisa and Hotel Byblos are in close proximity and there are stunning views of the Mijas Mountains..They also offer excellent dining facilities, entertainment and beauty treatments. Fuengirola and La Cala beach resort approximately 5 mins drive.

This spacious first floor apartment overlooks the pools and garden areas. . The apartment is secure and fitted with rejas and is also fitted with a safe.

Bedroom 1 with kings size bed with en-suite, air/con, heating.

Bedroom 2 and 3 with each with 2 single beds, hot/cool air conditioning.

En-suite to bathroom 1 with full bath, overhead shower, WC, bidet and hand basin.

2nd bathroom has full bath with overhead shower, WC and hand basin.

Well equipped kitchen/breakfast room with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, ample crockery, glassware and cutlery etc.

Large lounge/dining room with Sky TV and radio/cassette/CD player, DVD and films. Marble floors throughout. Patio doors lead onto a terrace with direct views over pools and garden areas. The room is comfortably furnished, cool and well decorated.

There is a dining table and chairs on the terrace over looking the pools.for you to sit relax and enjoy a meal al fresco. The terrace is also a peaceful place to sunbathe, read a book and enjoy a glass or two of rioja.

Non-refundable deposit of £50 per week is required to secure your booking. 6 weeks prior to arrival the rental payment must be paid in full. You will receive a confirmation receipt plus directions to the apartment and any further information you may need. There will also be a holding deposit of £100 to cover any damages or loss of keys. This will be paid to the managers on arrival and is fully refundable once the apartment has been checked.

The apartment is fully cleaned and beds made up for you. We provide linen, hand and bath towels (please bring beach towels with you). Guests staying a 2nd week will receive fresh linen/towels. For an extra charge a daily clean can be arranged.

The name "Costa Blanca" was devised as a promotional name used by BEA when they launched their air service (for £38.16s.-) between London and Valencia in 1957. It has a well-developed tourism industry and is a popular destination for British and German tourists. It extends from the town of Dénia in the north, beyond which lies the Costa del Azahar (Costa dels Tarongers), to Pilar de la Horadada in the south, beyond which lies the Costa Cálida. It includes the major tourist destinations of Benidorm, Alicante, Dénia and Xàbia

The village of La Mata is a developing tourist centre and one of the more popular Spanish villages on the Mediterranean coast. However, you'll find it's not nearly as commercialised as the Costa Blanca resorts to the North of Alicante. It still retains that special "Spanish" feel and is in a relaxed environment.

You'll also see, that La Mata has learned a few lessons from other tourist destinations, because in La Mata, you'll find no high-rise skyscrapers or package holiday hotels and still retains a Spanish way of life.

The concentration of salt and the temperature, combine to endow this area with a particularly healthy micro-climate, recommended by doctors for its beneficial properties. Bathing in the salt lagoons is also becoming popular for many medicinal reasons. The climate in La Mata makes it an ideal location for year round holiday activities, especially if you want to fulfil that yearning for some sunshine during those dreary winter months in the UK.

On average, La Mata enjoys 320 days of sunshine per year and an average daily temperature of 17°C. Temperatures in July and August are typically 30°C. Many people prefer the months when the weather can be near perfect: April, May, June, September, October and November.

La Mata offers all the typical activities for the holidaymaker and as you go through this website you'll get a flavour of what's on offer.

Go down to the beach at La Mata and walk along the front, at lunch times and in the evenings this area and the surrounding streets are a hive of activity, with many busy cafes, restaurants and bars. These streets also offer many shopping opportunities, plus, the street market is in La Mata every Wednesday morning, (see the market page here for more details).

The area of La Mata, just 5 minutes drive north from Torrevieja, consists of a few different areas - Los Leandros, Cabo Cervera (also mis-spelt sometimes as Cabo Cevera), Aquas Nuevas (also known as Aguas Neuvas), Parque Mar (also known as Parquemar), Pinomar (also known as Pino Mar) and Molino Blanco.

When visiting La Mata on holiday, because La Mata is on the eastern part of the Costa Blanca, be prepared to see some fantastic sunsets.

You may come across different variations on the name of La Mata, like TorreLaMata, TorreMata, Torre La Mata and LaMata, you might even see some people refer to it as La Marta, but they're all referring to the same place, La Mata, on the sunny Costa Blanca, in Spain.

"Lovely spacious apartment and gardens"

This is a really lovely apartment with a large lounge and balcony which was great for our group of friends. Christina upstairs was really helpful and friendly. The gardens were very pretty and well maintained, the pools were large and clean it was lovely and peaceful even in mid August. We were very happy with the location with the hotel next door, 10 minute walk to a small food shop, 5 minutes taxi to LIDL, 10minutes taxi to the beach with restaurants and bars. Overall we would love to return!

We hope you do. We are making a few improvements to the apartement to make it even more inviting. Just remember to book early!
