This is a spacious apartment suitable for independent couples/families wanting a relaxing holiday in a quieter part of the Costa del Sol, with many golf courses in the vicinity. The right choice for sunshine, blue sky, good temperatures all year. Golf, swimming, walking, etc. and only twenty minutes from Malaga airport.
Beautiful luxury apartment in a gated complex, set by the pine forests of Mijas on a beautiful stretch of Mediterranean coast between Marbella and Malaga, 20mins either way. The apartment itself is in a really peaceful and tranquil setting. Furnished to a high standard with a large south facing terrace and sun all day long. The grounds are landscaped with palm trees, colourful shrubs and a large communal pool and children's pool make this place ideal for families or couples. A secluded beach is only a five minute walk away.

We have just returned from two glorious weeks in your lovely apartment, with its superior furnishings and sheer space. It is a peaceful and quiet, the gardens and pool a joy.We didn't have a car, you don't need one. Two bus services take you to the hub-bub of Fuengirola or further afield on the "Big Bus" all the way to Gibralter."The Strip" close by offer choice a plenty for a variety of cuisines and bars.

Had a wonderful two weeks holiday, the apartment was faultless. The location of the complex was excellent with so many places and beaches to visit within a short drive. The strip which was only a 5 min walk with an assortment of different restaurants and bars gave us plenty of variety. The complex is lovely peaceful and the pools were a hit with our 2 1/2 year old. The apartment had everything you could think of and so much space. The only downside to it all was that we had to come home! We would definitely make a return visit. Emily Chapman

We had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was really nicely presented, lovely and clean, and child friendly. We enjoyed the pools and the beach closeby and the easy access to Fuengirola, Miramar, Cortes Ingles etc.Little extras such as DVDs, kids toybox, great range kitchen utensils were really appreciated. FABULOUS HOLIDAY AT PINARES DE MIJAS
This holiday was all about relaxing with our young family in sunnier climes. From arrival to departure, all of our experiences with the location, apartment and contacts arranged by owner Rob have been high quality and helped give us a great holiday to remember.The property is located in a fairly small complex about 5 mins walk from the beach. It was a new complex and the apartment was large enough to easily hold 4 adults, spotlessly clean and packed with comfy furniture and just about every home convenience thinkable. On top of this, the owner had provided all extras such as soap, washing liquid, towels, a torch, dishwasher tablet even toys + books for the kids to make holidaying a pleasure. The complex pools (kids + adults) proved to be a real hit with the children, and although we didn't hire a car, the security and convenience of an underground parking space linked by lift to the apartments was a good touch.
For our purposes the location was spot on, quiet but with enough quality restaurants within walking distance. Want to venture further afield and there are enough towns packed with shops and places to visit with a short, cheap bus ride. The bus stop and taxi rank were even conveniently located just 1 minute away. This is certainly a location where you don't need a car, but if you do, Malaga itself is around 30 - 40 minutes drive away.
Whilst I appreciate that there are plenty of cheaper apartments available in the area, from the experience we had here, I certainly know where the extra £'s have gone. I can thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone going away with younger children as you certainly appreciate the higher quality and space this apartment offers when you spend most of the evenings there.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful. A real home away from home. Very nice little touches like soap and washing up liquid. The apartment was very spacious and very nicely furnished. Very well serviced by buses. I do think we would hire a car in the future. Alfred was a real gentleman and his wife was a lovely lady. They checked in on us once or twice to see that we were ok. I will give your details to anyone I know who is looking to rent an apartment in that area of Spain if that is ok with you.

This is a stunning apartment with 2 large bedrooms, 2 luxurious bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and beautifully furnished inside. We found the place immaculate, comfortable, spacious, with a fantastic (massive) balcony / terrace for sunbathing. The apartment also had the added benefit of being situated in a private secure complex with well-maintained gardens and pools.From booking the apartment to receiving the keys the owner was easily contactable, always helpful and provided lots of local information in and around the area.
On arrival we were met by Alfred and his lovely wife who were charming, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the apartment however I would suggest visiting Dona Marie's in El Faro for great food and service.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday, only regret was we were there for only 9 days. This was a real home from home and we will definitely be back. Kim, Jack & family from Peebles JUNE 2012
Our stay at Pinares de Mijas
We have just spent two weeks at Rob’s apartment at Pinares De Mijas and just wanted to say a few words about our experience. First just a bit of background:
Last year we had planned a holiday in this complex for Hilary and myself, the two boys Matthew and Ben along with the in-laws (yes I do get on with them) staying in an 8 bed apartment. Unfortunately once fully booked and at the last moment they could not come with us. We had particularly booked this apartment as it boasted a wi-fi connection which we wanted for Matthew as he has Asperger’s Sydrome (on the autistic spectrum). Having the internet helps him to cope as he finds anything new to be a real challenge. The wi-fi didn’t work.
Enough of the negatives, we had a good stay, really liked the pool and gardens and the local assorted restaurants just a few minutes walk away.
We were keen to return to the same area as familiarity is good for Matthew and therefore us! We were delighted to find another apartment available with the right number of beds.
Hilary spoke with Rob and in that phone call we found out more about the area than we had in our previous two week stay. He was tremendously helpful. For instance, The Sports Bar has free wi-fi, (That’s great for Matthew and Me) the adjacent private time-share complex has entertainment every night which we can go into. Rob was also able to advise exactly where to get a ‘pay as you go’ sim for the i-pad so we had an internet connection anywhere. You can tell this is very important to us.
On arrival we were met by Rob’s representative, Alfred who was extremely friendly and very helpful. He showed us to the apartment which although similar to the one we had last year was much more pleasant and inviting. Everything was very clean, tidy and in good order. It just felt right – so much so that 2 days after our return from Spain, we rebooked for the following year and hopefully for many more years to come!!!

The development has a large swimming pool that is open all year round and a small children's pool.
The apartment has a large balcony with a large table and chairs for eating outside and two sun loungers.
There are also several local bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walking, including Thai, Chinese, Indian, Spanish and traditional fish and chips, also two general stores and a chemist. There are frequent and cheap bus services to Malaga, Marbella and Fuengirola. Nearby, La Cala and Fuengirola are just a 5 min drive and offer everything major holiday resorts provide. There is a water park in Fuengirola for the whole family, especially children, zoo, snorkelling, fishing, scuba diving and sky diving just to name a few. Superb shopping in nearby Fuengirola and Marbella. For golfers El Chaparral is an 18 hole award winning course next door, also there is the Hipodromo de Mijas, the only race course on the Costa del Sol.

A breakages deposit of £100 is required, which will be refunded on completion of your holiday. No pets allowed.
There is clean linen and towels provided and you are welcome to use the washing machine in the apartment to clean the linen and towels if needed during your holiday.
However if you require us to provide an extra change of clean linen and towels during your stay there will be an additional charge of £10 per person.
The Costa del Sol region

The Mijas Costa / El Faro de Calaburras area
El Faro is very close to the beach and the town of Fuengirola which is one of the most popular destinations on the Costa del Sol. Easily accessible by road, rail or bus, it is not difficult to see why this buzzing cosmopolitan town on the Mediterranean is the number one choice for so many different kinds of people.
Local friendly restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walking. Water park in Fuengirola for the whole family, especially children. Frequent and cheap bus services to Malaga, Marbella and Fuengirola, there is also the Hipodromo de Mijas, the only race course on the Costa del Sol. “Mijas pueblo” the local popular Spanish white village set in the mountain side is a regular “must” to be visited.

BY CAR
Drive out of the Terminal and follow sign to Cadiz, N340-E15. BP garage will be on your left.After 50 metres come to roundabout with San Miguel Brewery, Go straight over - second exit.
Get into right hand lane ready to take the Slip Road in lOOm, Torremolinos & Cadiz, N340.
Join the main N340, Stay on this road for 3km when you will see a sign Benalmadena & Algeciras 500m.
Get into Right Lane and join the slip road as you go past the BMW garage. Sign Benalmadena N340-A7-E15. LANDMARK: After approx 7 Kms on the motorway you will see signs for Benalmadena and a Cable Car going over the motorway.
After another l4kms you start to descend a long hill, at the bottom of the hill you should take N340 Costa for Fuengirola.
Get into the inside two lanes and take the Fuengirola Slip Road N340 with RED Highlight.
The exits locations and directions are in the order as above with Fuengirola 3 minutes drive from this point and El Faro about 10 minute drive from this point.
As you pass Fuengirola you will see a large lighthouse on the right right beside the road on the right and take the next available exit. At the exit turn right and are looking for the Pinares de Mijas development. Turn left at the roundabout and the Los Amigos resort is on your left hand side and as you drive along the road, the apartment is in a secure gated development on your right hand side. You will need to turn right into the electronically protected driveway. Go on up the ramp straight ahead and at the end turn into the garage entrance on the left.
A doorway in the middle of the garage leads to the lift and stairs up to the apartment.
Arrangement can be made to be collected from Malaga Airport if required at additional cost. Please advise at time of booking.
