About the home

Vista del Mar is located on the development Balcones Del Chaparral, which borders the El Chaparral Golf Course. This complex is just a few hundred metres from the beach and within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Malaga airport is only a twenty five minute drive away in one direction and Marbella and the world famous Puerto Banus is just twenty minutes in the other direction.

The apartment is on the second floor and consists of a spacious lounge/diner with two sofas, with patio doors leading onto the large terrace from which there are fabulous sea views.There is a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave and washing machine and all the crockery and utensils you might need to create some memorable meals. Either eat at the six seater dining table or outside at the patio furniture and enjoy those balmy summer nights, so famous to Spain. The master bedroom is a double and has ample storage space and its own en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower cubicle, double sink, bidet and toilet. In addition, there are two twin bedrooms, both with good wardrobe space and a further bathroom with a bath and shower unit, vanity unit and toilet. The apartment also has the benefit of being alarmed.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol offers everything you could wish for from a holiday. It has 300 days of sunshine, over 60 magnificent golf courses, water parks, designer & high street shopping, boat trips & watersports, fishing, Zoo & safari parks, beautiful beaches etc. You can even go Skiing in Sierra Nevada if you tire of the sun. You can visit Malaga city which offers historical buildings, art museums e.g. the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, cathedrals, bull rings and even a bull fight! Ronda & Nerja are also two villages close by if you fancy taking a day trip. There are weekly markets in most areas ask for details.

The Mijas Costa / El Chaparral, Mijas Costa area

The long blue flag beaches are well cared for, clean and have soft golden sand. Whilst La Cala has maintained a level of the real Spain it has also taken on, in a small way, something of an international flavour. La Cala has a number of excellent restaurants ranging from tapas bars, chirungitas to haute cuisine and there are also many bars and shops to choose from. There is a weekly market every Wednesday until 2pm.There are an abundance of good quality sports and recreation facilities both in and around La Cala de Mijas. The tennis club "Club del Sol" welcomes all new comers as does the Lawn bowls centre at Miraflores. There are gymnasiums, dive centres and virtually every outdoor activity within minutes of the village. For the keen golfer there are a multitude of courses in the area to name but a few, La Cala Golf, Mijas Golf, Santana Golf and El Chaparral all of which are within a fifteen minute drive.

Horse riding in the hills behind La Cala is a must if you enjoy this activity but if your interest in horses is strictly as a spectator, then the Hippodrome race track may well be for you. The "Hipodromo del Costa del Sol" is just on the outskirts of La Cala and makes for a great family night out during the summer months.

La Cala as a holiday base is perfect throughout the whole year. The climate is such that you will be able to enjoy the seamless indoor / outdoor lifestyle which has made the Costs del Sol so popular for so many years. Within easy striking distance of La Cala de Mijas are all of the internationally famous names such as Puerto Banus, Marbella and Fuengirola.

For the kids there is lots to do, La Cala is not far from Tivoli World, the Fuengirola Zoo, Sea Life and then of course the wonderful beaches and Water parks - and for the "big kids" Marbella Casino, The Hipodromo and so much more.
