A beautifully presented 2 bedroom self catering apartment in the privately owned Rancho C development in Miraflores on the Mijas Costa. Fully equipped and very tastefully furnished.

Very flexible accommodation, the main bedroom, with it's own en-suite bathroom, has two single beds that can easily be put together to form a double. The second bedroom has two permanent single beds with a third full size single bed stowed under one of them. The lounge also has a comfortable sprung sofa bed.

There are 4 swimming pools (two large, two children's) and it's a short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. Very safe and secure complex with mature gardens and life guard throughout the summer. A real home from home.

The Rancho C complex is close to numerous bars and restaurants, as well as shops and supermarkets and is within walking distance (20 to 25 minutes) of the town of La Cala de Mijas with all it's amenities. The nearest beach with a choice of beach bar/restaurants is just 600 metres away and the resort of Fuengirola is only 10 minutes by car.

Next door to Miraflores is the popular Calahonda area with lively night time bars and clubs.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol has for years been the favourite destination for British holidays makers, drawn by the endless days of sunshine and attractions ranging from busy beach resorts to quaint white hillside towns, marinas full of luxurious yachts to the superb golf courses all along the coast. There are theme parks and aqua parks, horse riding, go karting, boat trips and water sports and of course mile after mile of golden sand.

A visit to Mijas set high up on the hillside behind Fuengirola should not be missed. This popular Pueblo Blanco (White Town) has cobbled streets full of quaint shops, bars and restaurants. The view from one of the terrace restaurants over the Mediterranean coast is breath taking.

The capital city of Andalucia, Malaga, is just 35 kilometres away and is a facinating place to visit day or night. Modern department stores or small fashionable boutiques make this shopping heaven. Or visit the Picasso museum, Botanical gardens or Roman Theatre for some culture.

The fancinating British outpost of Gibraltar is under an hour away using the brand new motorway or venture inland to beautiful mountain ranges, National Parks and even visit the winter ski resort of Sol y Nieve, about a two and a half hour drive away. From around December to March it really is possible to ski in the morning and sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon.

With the ferry ports less than an hours drive away you can be even more adventurous and take a trip to Tangiers. Tickets are available from many well advertised agencies locally , or you can simply drive to the port and buy one there. Most include a guide and traditional lunch. To take away any hassle, why not call in to the agency down the hill from the apartment who can offer a complete package including coach travel not just to there but to many other must see attractions as well.

Mijas Costa / Riviera Del Sol Miraflores area

The Miraflores resort is located on the shores of the Mediterranean, midway between the towns of Fuengirola and Marbella. It is a beautiful residential garden development, built in typical Andalusian style with it's own centre-piece restaurant and club set in stunning surroundings offering lunch by the pool and nightly entertainment. There are tennis courts and bowling greens at the club and of course numerous water sports and boat trips available nearby.

Malaga and it's airport and the luxury resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus are all less than 30 minutes away by car and the lively and ever popular Fuengirola is just a 10 minute drive or bus journey away. You can find water parks, a theme park and even a popular zoo close by.

Miraflores is the perfect location whether you want to relax around the pool, spend your day at the beach or hone your skills on one of the numerous top quality golf courses within easy reach of the property. Miraflores has it's own beautiful 18 hole course just minutes from your door with a further eight courses within 15 miles and many more beyond.

How to get there

Budget flights from all UK airports, include Easyjet, BMI Baby, Jet2, Monarch, Ryanair.

Easy transfer from the airport by arranged collection (we can help you with this and it costs around 50 Euro each way), your own hire car (try malagacar.com or carjet.com), one of the many taxi's that wait at the airport (no need to book), the train (from the airport station to Fuengirola, less than 2 Euro and onward by bus or taxi) or by bus.

For stays of less than five days there is a single cleaning charge of £70.00. For stays of six days or more, the cleaning costs are included.

Fantastic apartment, fantastic location! We really had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back to see if the gardens can really get any better. Managed without a car, but might hire one next time. Replaced the wine as instructed, what a nice idea that is, ate too much, drank too much, lovely restaurants (especially the Indian at the bottom of the hill, can't remember it's name). Great holiday, we intended to do loads of sight seeing, but spent most of the time around the pool relaxing. The Pizza Terraza Restaurant up the hill does the best pasta we've ever tasted. Max's Beach and Antonio's also spectacular for lunch over looking the sea. Very Shirley Valentine! Lynne & Michael, Nottingham.

Super beach holiday, love the walk down to the beach and the little bar, great sardines and had to have a couple of beers before walking back up, so that's good. Will hire a car next time and do some exploring. The kid's loved Tivoli World, didn't leave till 2.00 in the morning, what a treat, they loved it. Took the bus a couple of times to Fuengirola at night which is easy and good fun, would recommend that. Pete and Sue, Lincolnshire.
