This elegant apartment is light and spacious and has a south-facing terrace that you can enjoy quiet moments in the morning watching the sun come up whilst enjoying your breakfast or early evening with perhaps a glass of wine watching the spectacular sunsets. The terrace takes advantage of the far reaching mountain views and is completely private.

This is a luxurious and spacious apartment furnished to a very high standard with marble floors and high quality building finishes. It has secure underground parking with lift to the apartment. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, fully automatic air conditioning, heating, satellite television and is within a small private development of 75 apartments thus allowing for a peaceful relaxing holiday.

The apartment benefits from a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a videophone entry system.

The complex has 2 swimming pools for you to relax and unwind one of which has the sun late in to the evening . There is also a secure underground parking area for total convenience and sub-tropical landscaping with Alhambra fountains and plenty of room to wander around.

Royal golf Riviera is situated in Riviera del Sol only 20 minutes drive west of Malaga International Airport and ten minutes east of Marbella with views over the Mediterranean Sea and the seventh hole belonging to the famous Miraflores golf resort and is only 50 metres from the club house which is an ideal place in the evenings watching the beautiful sunsets over the mountains with a drink in hand the staff here are extremely friendly and welcome visitors.

We do not have any limit of time when checking out unless there is another booking due to arrive on your departure day.

Our apartment is in a small building and is in a quiet area but only a short distance from a dozen or so restaurants and commercial centres. We welcome couples, mature persons, and families with well behaved children. Good behaviour is expected . Sorry no young singles/groups

The Costa del Sol region

When we have a chance to get away from our hectic lives we want to relax and unwind perhaps forget work for a while where better than the beautifully scenic Costa del Sol.

The Costa del Sol (Sunshine Coast) is named because it averages over 320 days of sunshine throughout the year. No wonder it is many people's choice for winter breaks as well as summer holidays.

The coast consists of a series of large beaches, coves hidden among cliffs, harbours and fishing villages. Its mild climate and long sunny, summer days have made this are of Spain an ideal holiday destination for Europeans for the last four decades.

Whether you're looking for sunshine, have a passion for golf or just prefer to spot the rich and famous on their yachts in Puerto Banus, the Costa del Sol has something for you. Malaga is the centre and capital of the region.

Mijas Costa

There is so much to do and see around Mijas Costa. The lovely white village of Mijas Pueblo is a few kilometres away, the sophisticated resorts of Puerto Banus and Marbella can be reached in 25 minutes and an hour's drive will get you to Gibraltar, where you can experience a little bit of Britain with Spanish sunshine and enjoy some duty-free shopping.

Riviera has its own new plaza which houses numerous shops, cafe's, Tapas bars, English style sports bars and restaurants which appeal to every taste including Max's beach bar & Restaurant which is set on the beach front. There are numerous banks, currency exchanges and a large supermarket in the plaza.

Puerto Banus is worth visiting just to marvel at the fabulous boats in the marina and people watch for celebrities.

If it is a golf course you are looking for then you are spoilt for choice with some of the best golf courses in the world on your door step.

Also within the area is horse riding, Hippodrome (the only horse racing course in the Costa del Sol - 10 minutes drive),aqua parks, Fuengirola Zoo, Tivoli World in Benalmadena and Selwo marina and safari park in

Estepona.

Where to Go:

There is a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants, a supermarket, beach etc within a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Please have a look at www.rivieradelsol.co.uk which is a website dedicated purely to the very local area, for lots of ideas on where to eat, drink and shop. If you have a car or fancy public transport (which is excellent in Spain), and want to explore a bit further afield, you will find below some suggestions of tasty eateries up and down the coast – all within a 20 minute drive.

The coastal bus service is very efficient, running regular buses up and down the N340 that will take you West to Puerto Banus, Marbella, and East to La Cala, Benalmadena, Fuengirola etc. The bus stops are on both carriageways of the main coast road – the N340, and are quite easy to spot. The “urbanisations” – or suburbs, are named by their exits off the N340, so for example, if you want to go to Nikki Beach Club in Elviria by bus, you need to find a bus that stops by the Elviria exit off the N340.

Shopping:

LA CANADA – HUGE shopping centre, like an American mall, with lots of shops (clothes, furniture, gifts, all sorts) and restaurants. Off the N340 between Marbella and Porto Banus

EL CORTE INGLES, Porto Banus – huge department store

Porto Banus Town and Marina Front – lots of individual tourist and designer boutiques including Poco Loco on the marina front – cheap and cheerful T shirts, clothes and accessories

Beach Clubs

The beach runs right across the coast and the nearest beach is at the bottom of the hill – there is a restaurant / bar that serves that part of the beach, but if you want to try some other areas here are some suggestions -

NIKKI BEACH CLUB at Elviria – next to the Don Carlos Hotel – luxurious beds on the beach with bar, restaurant, waiter service, massage…

THE CHICKEN SHACK – café bar near La Cala with music and beds on the beach

DON CARLOS HOTEL – Elviria, 5 star hotel has swimming pools right on the beach so you can have a sunbed by the pool and still get the breeze. There is also a bar that serves food.

MAX BEACH BAR – this is at the bottom of the hill at Riviera, so it’s the local beach. Max Beach Bar has a huge deck overlooking the sea and there are beds to hire on the sand. Food all day and open in the evenings too.

PUERTO BANUS – Busy beach with watersports, cafes, and lots of beautiful people!

"Home from home"

We have stayed at this apartment twice and have booked again for this year. It feels like our 2nd home now! Great location on the costa del sol,although I would recommend a car as it could be hard work walking up and down the hill to the centre in the spanish heat. We have got to know the area really well now and have found some lovely places to eat. The apartment is well equiped with all the things you have at home. The complex has the advantage of having two swimming pools which have never been too busy which is great. Scott the owner was very accomodating last year when my son was hospitalised for 10 days due to appendisitis, which was very much appreciated by us. The complex has a maintance man who is always around in the day and cleans the pool daily. He is also very helpful if you should have any concerns whilst you are there.
I really like coming back to this apartment and cannot wait till we are there again this summer!

"Great location for us."

We stayed in this lovely apartment in July/August 2011. It is well equiped with all the essentials eg washing machine/dishwasher etc. Great views across to the golf course from the balcony. The complex itself is at the top of Riviera on a hill. A car is highly recommended when staying here as it is a long walk down to the Riviera plaza and back up again! La Terrazas plaza is walkable but again it is up and down hill,only takes 20 mins and is quite pleasant on a morning. Whilst we were there the complex apartment blocks were all being painted so we were woken up every morning by the machinary. We also made sure we went off for the day when our apartment was being painted! We had a couple of noisy nights due to our spanish neighbours who did quieten down when asked nicely! The pool area`s ware a little disappointing with limited sunbeds-11 around one pool and 4 around the other. It was nice to see notices under the tree shades about not leaving your towels on the sunbeds and then going off and not using them. It might be a good idea to have a couple of fold up sunloungers in this apartment for use by guests as it did get a little busy round the pool. All this complex needs is a tennis/paddle court to keep my family occupied at times! We would consider renting here again in the future.

Many thanks for your kind words, I'm sorry to hear about the disruption while the apartment block was being painted, this is all now completed and has really made the complex stand out.

I'm also disappointed to hear about the noisy neighbours you experienced this has never happened before and we have not heard of any other incidents since.

We have now made available some seat loungers that guests are more than welcome to use.

The community has also negotiated the use of the neighbouring complex paddle & tennis courts for a small charge. This can be arrange by going to the pizzeria within the complex, the courts and pizzeria can be seen form our balcony and is a short wall away.
