About the home

This bright modern apartment comprises of two good size bedrooms, a double and twin. The good sized fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need. A bathroom with usual facilities and a large living room/dining room with TV receiving English Satellite Channels.

The lounge leads onto a west facing balcony which overlooks gardens and green valley. The balcony gets the sun all afternoon and into the evening. There are sun loungers for the balcony. Shops and beach are 10 minutes walk away or 2 minutes in the car.

The nearby Aztec Centre, open to non residents for a small charge the club boasting a superb heated swimming pool for use all year and newly created JJ Broadways, Fellini's Italian Restaurant, tennis courts,badminton courts, crazy golf etc.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is a region which comprises the coastal towns and communities in the Málaga province, along the Mediterranean coastline. It is in the south of Spain, in the autonomous community of Andalusia.

The Mijas Costa / Riviera del Sol area

RIVIERA DEL SOL AND CALAHONDA
Riviera del Sol is one of the popular resorts located on the breath taking coast line of the Costa del Sol in between Fuegirola and Marbella. There are numerous restaurants and bars in Riviera del Sol and Calahonda to choose from, try David's or George's bar on Riviera’ main street for a relaxing evening drink. The extremely popular Max's Beach restaurant and bar is the perfect setting with stunning views overlooking the beach.

There are shops and large supermarkets, Opencor is open 18hrs per day 7days a week. El Zoco commercial centre in Calahonda on the upper floor has an area built around an open courtyard, which has restaurants from all around the world, most having areas to dine outside.
At the bottom of Riviera there is a park, shops, bars, restaurants and a taxi rank.

The Aztec Country Club is just 3 minutes walk from the apartment which provides an Olympic size swimming pool, tennis, badminton, gym, games room and internet centre, as well as restaurants and entertainment. GOLF
Riviera has its own 18 hole golf course- Miraflores Golf, which has a club house, driving range and golf academy. A short drive from the apartment a new golf course opened in the upper part of Riviera this year - Calanova Golf.
Additionally there are over 30 prestigious golf courses on the Costa Del Sol and due to the good weather, golfers are able to play all year round. A new course - Calanova Golf opened at the end of last year this is only a five minute drive from the apartment. Information on where to book your golf etc can be found on our website.

GETTING AROUND
Car hire is recommend although the taxi service is very good and reasonable and will pick you up from your apartment. The local buses are also very good.

PUERTO CABOPINO MARINA
Puerto Cabopino is one of the Costa del Sol's best kept secrets with its pretty marina, water sports facilities, child friendly beach and nearby golf course.

Puerto Cabopino is located just a few minutes drive from the rental apartment and fortunately has not suffered with overdevelopment as other resorts along the coast Low rise and attractive properties have been built to compliment the landscape of pine woods and plenty of green areas and gardens have been created to make Puerto Cabopino a very attractive and desirable location.

The Marina has quality restaurants surrounding the quayside that are open from morning till night. They offer a wide choice for the diner, including Spanish, Chinese, Italian and international styles. Wonderful paellas and fresh fish are always available and when illuminated at night the area comes to life creating an attractive venue for dinner and a stroll.

BEACHES
The nearby underpass leads to a safe beach with a number of atmospheric beach bars. Riviera has its own beach with Max Beach restaurant and bars directly on to the beach.
However the favourite beach is at Puerto Cabopino which is only a couple of minutes down the coast, here you will find a large stretch of sandy beach with shallow water for children, plenty of sun loungers to hire, water activities and beach bars/cafe directly onto the beach. The small marina has numerous restaurants around it including the famous Alberts.

Fly to Malaga Airport. Follow motorway N340 towards Marbella. Just a short drive from Fuengirola, Riviera is 35 km approx. 35 minutes drive by car from Malaga Airport.

“Spacious , Clean and convenient” The Coral was a good location to stay in the Costa del Sol, although a car is needed if you will be doing much sightseeing. If you only fancy the pool or the beach then most facilities are within walking or short cab ride but for the cost a car should be the option. In the evenings as the temperature cooled off, sitting on the balcony and watching the bats fly around was great. Ooops forgot the beer and wine and nibbles. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting and clean with facilities for lounging on. The overall temp was getting a bit low to use it. Having the washing machine was a great plus and drying on the very spacious balcony while we were out. Very large fridge for the cooling of the drinks and food.

“Good time” Enjoyed our time very much. Large terrace at rear was great for eating outside and watching the sun go down. Nice quiet location overlooking trees. Very secure and safe. Good location for touring, very central. Handy for the beach at just a 10 min stroll. Would definately stay again.
