Mar Golf is a lovely low rise complex located on a hillside overlooking a valley to the mountains and sea beyond. Tranquil, yet only fifteen minutes from resorts such as Marbella and Fuengirola, the apartment has easy access to all amenities, including a a supermarket, bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

The very quiet communal garden has a lovely pool, with a shallow end with steps. Living room has balcony with stunning views to while away your evenings just relaxing. One double and one twin bedroom - both of which are en suite. It is ideal for families and there is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do such as a water park, zoo, amusement parks, shopping centres, a bowling alley and, of course, plenty of glorious beaches along the entire coastline.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

An ideal base for exploring or just chilling out, the apartment is within easy reach of La Cala, Fuengirola and Marbella, either by bus or car. Plenty to do if you so choose, such as a visit to the zoo or water park or a day spent at one of the many beaches along the coast. We prefer during busy seasons to spend a lot of time in the garden though - a sun trap that is very quiet and which doesn't entail battling your way across a busy beach looking for a pitch.

Mijas Costa / Riviera Del Sol Miraflores area

Golf, tennis, bowls, swimming - if you are sporty then there is always something to interest you around the area. The local golf course is a 3 minute drive and the driving range is within walking distance. If you are driving then Riviera del sol is an ideal base from which to explore. Whether taking a trip up into the mountains to Ronda, one of the oldest towns in Spain, or spending a day out in Gibraltar with its tax free shopping, there is something for everyone.

How to get there

Flights to Malaga from all major airports. Airlines include BA, Monarch and Easyjet. You will often find midweek to midweek dates result in cheaper flights than weekend to weekend and we are willing to accommodate such dates if we aren't already booked up

Apartment is around 35kms or 25 minutes drive from airport. We can arrange airport pick ups for those who don't want to drive.

Local taxi service is very good and buses run along the coast to major towns such as Fuengirola, La Cala and Marbella.

The lounge has two sofas and the dining area seats four. There is a travel cot provided free of charge for infants. All mod cons including satellite tv and a stereo, there is also a selection of DVDs which you are free to watch at your leisure and a bookcase with a variety of books for you to read if you fancy. Also, having a young family ourselves, there are some toys such as jigsaws etc. in the apartment to amuse children on the very rare rainy day.

The kitchen is fully equipped and in the utility room there is a washing machine along with selection of loungers, pool accessories etc.

We can't say enough about the garden. It is situated on the side of a hill so enjoys uninterrupted views over a valley below to the mountains and sea beyond. And, because the complex is low rise, there aren't hundreds of people scrambling to compete with to get a prime position from the moment the sun rises. Indeed, you might even find that you are the only people enjoying the well kept sun trap garden and the pool. There are two showers and toilets in the garden area so you can just take the loungers and a book and spend all day there if you fancy! We often do!

A car is not essential, but we hire one when we go, only because it is much easier to do things like go to a variety of beaches with the kids and get around to take in all the attractions like the zoo, water park, theme and adventure parks etc. etc. That said, there are often days when the car doesn't get used and we just relax in the garden, but it's handy to have one. Maybe consider hiring one for just a few days once you are there, so that you can take in some excursions like Ronda or Gibraltar. We can also arrange airport pick ups for those who prefer not to drive. It's 50 euros, payable direct to the driver on the day.
