Tranquil out-of-town location, hills to the sea . the block has its own private pool and gardens, so families and friends could rent adjacent apartments and get together for sunbathing, drinks and meals without even leaving the complex.
Fuengirola is central for numerous activities and is 10 mins away from La Cala. It has 5 miles of sandy beaches, an open air Zoo and Aqua park. Sohail Castle is situated at the west end of the promenade and has a park which hosts many festivals throughout the year. Fuengirola has a multitude of nightlife activities varied restaurants and late-night/early morning bars for the young at heart. Benalmadena is only about 20 mins away from La Cala and is easily accessible by car, taxi or bus. Benalmadena Costa has a 9km's stretch of beach and a 2km promenade which culminates in its fabulous marina which has been voted the best in the world. The area is a constant hive of activity both day and night housing many cosmopolitan shops and restaurants with many day and evening boat trips going out from the harbour on an hourly or daily basis to fish or just to dolphin watch and sunbathe. Slowly sail around the marina in an old Chinese Junk or take a 30 minute thrilling speed boat ride down the coast. There is also a Diving and Sea Life Centre within the harbour complex. Calahonda is a 5 minute drive away on the road to Marbella. There are three commercial centres here which house most of the development's 45 restaurants, cafeterias and pubs as well as seven banks, and several supermarkets. Sports are easily incorporated into a Calahonda lifestyle. For starters, there are a total of 10 golf courses within a 10 kilometre radius of this urbanisation, which also has its own port, Cabopino. And, having its own share of coastline, puts a spotlights on a wide array of water sports as well. Tennis courts and a fitness centre. There is a local outdoor market at La Cala, where you can buy local home grown fruit and veg and browse for bargains. The resorts of Fuengirola, Benalmadenas, Calahonda and Marbella are a short drive away. La Cala is only 20 minutes from Malaga Airport and situated next to the town of Calahonda.
The charming fishing village of La Cala is central to the beach. The long beach is well cared for with clean soft golden sands.
The Glitz and glamour of Puerto Banus is between 15-20 mins away it houses the yachts and speedboats of the rich and famous. Expensive designer shops are here along with a Casino, a Commercial Shopping Centre, a Corte Ingles department store a Marine Observatory and a multi cinema with films shown with their original soundtrack.
For keen Golfers we have it all in Mijas Costa with at least 20 courses all within easy reaching distance with Valderama being world famous

In nearby Fuengirola, there is a zoo, water park and theme park. Day trips can be made to Granada, Gibraltar, Ronda and even Direct train now to Madrid.
There are organised trips to Morocco, Gibraltar Rhonda etc available to book within the village area.
Marbella is 20 minutes away. The sea front water sports centres offer jet skiing, sailing, cable skiing and balloon flights. Stroll along the golden mile and dine at some of the most sumptuous restaurants that the Mediterranean has to offer.
The Calanova Golf Club greens have an average area above 500 sqm. Players will find them very exciting due to an extraordinary shaping work.

Nearest Airport Malaga (approximately 20 minutes drive) which is well served by numerous low cost airlines form the UK and Europe, the apartment is accessed via the N340 coast road and the drive to the apartment is very straightforward exiting at the La Cala de Mijas turn off.
There are an abundance of car hire desks in the Malaga airport.
Calanova Sea Golf is 5 minutes drive to La Cala beach, 15 minutes from Marbella, 20 minutes from Puerto Banus and only 10 minutes from Fuengirola. Benelmadena and Torremolinos at 15 minutes drive offer a wide range of theme parks, beaches and activities to suit all the family including one of the worlds most celebrated marinas.
The location is ideal for exploring the traditional sites of Andalucia with Ronda, Granada and Seville all within two and half hours or less. For Skiers Sierra Nevada is only a 2hours drive away.

A great 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment looking out over the hills and golf course to the sea. The whole apartment was furnished and finished to a very high secifcation, and had everything you could need for holiday. Nice quiet location, with communal pools, but even in mid August there were days when we did not see anyone by them. A car is a must, as the apartment is well away from the nearest amenities at La Cala, but is within 15 mins of Fuengirola and 20 mins of Marbella. We found the best restaurants nearby at Calahonda (10 mins). Response: Thanks Kevin for the feedback. Many thanks for letting us stay in your fabulous apartment. The weather was beautiful (hot & sunny in March!) and we really enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace listening to nothing but the sound of birds tweeting. The apartment had all the comforts of home and we felt truly spoilt. It was wonderful to have a proper piping hot shower, rather than some of the cold ‘dribbles’ you usually get in holiday accommodation. The location was ideal, relaxing and peaceful yet only a few minutes drive into the resort of La Cala. La Cala is a lovely little resort and we enjoyed taking coffee on the watchtower square by the beach. We have fond memories of a holiday that went far too quickly, but we hope to make up for it by returning to Calanova very soon.
